Sabat Gets Paid

Nivel 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

John Kim opened to 11,500 in late position, and Eddy Sabat three-bet to 28,000 from the small blind. Kim called, and the two of them took a {K-Spades} {7-Clubs} {3-Spades} flop. Sabat continued out with another 30,000 chips, and Kim flatted again to see the {10-Spades} on the turn. Sabat slowed down now, checking it over, and Kim checked it back. The {2-Spades} on the river put four spades on board, and Sabat took the betting lead once again, overbetting the pot with 140,000. It was most of Sabat's chips, and the call represented most of Kim's chips as well as the two men started the hand with roughly the same count. In the end, Kim tanked and called, and he'd not like what he saw.

Sabat showed up {A-Spades} {10-Clubs} for the nuts, and he's raked in a massive pot to shoot up to 370,000. On the flip side of things, Kim has been crippled down to just 32,000 lonely chips.
