Some Shorties

With six eliminations needed until the players hit the money, here are just a few of the short-stacks that will be looking either to survive or find a much needed double, triple or quadruple-up so that they are a chance of collecting (at a minimum) a $21,905 payday.

Sagstrom Has O'Dell's Number

Omaha-8

In the last four hands of Omaha-8 at table 277, Erik Sagstrom and Frankie O'Dell have been getting into it with each other pretty hard. All but one quarter of one of those pots have gone to Sagstrom who is up 150,000 in those hands almost solely on O'Dell.

O'Dell now has 270,000 and Sagstrom is up to 390,000

Williamson Dancing on Broadway

Nivel 17

Stud

By the time we got there, Tom Dwan and Robert Williamson III had put in enough bets on sixth street to have Williamson all in. They flipped over their hands before the river to find that Dwan had a wheel and a flush draw. Williamson already had the nut straight and needed to fade a spade.

Robert Williamson III: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Tom Dwan: {a-Spades}{2-Spades}{3-Hearts}{4-Spades}{5-Hearts}{j-Spades}

Dwan flipped his {a-Clubs}, and Williams was safe before he showed the irrelevant {10-Hearts}. He is up to 210,000. Dwan still has over 300,000.

Soulier On A Tear, Seed Out

Huck Seed
Huck Seed

Omaha-8

Fabrice Soulier has been on an absolute tear lately and just knocked out Huck Seed in Omaha-8.

The two got it all in on the turn with the board reading {j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{4-Spades} and Soulier showed {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} for trip fours. Seed was drawing dead and mucked, but his hand had to be turned up per the rules and he showed, {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades} the river was the {10-Spades} and Soulier now has 470,000 and is our chip leader.

Hold'em

"It's ok to fold Chau!" stated Daniel Alaei after raising the button to 16,000 into Chau Giang's big blind.

"Ok, ok, I will" responded Giang as he flashed his {6-Clubs}{3-Spades}.

Alaei was pushed the pot and tabled his {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}.

"Oh my god I had two overs. Two overs!" added Giang.
