Deuces for Negreanu

Nivel 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

On a board of {4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts} with roughly 2,000 in the pot we found Daniel Negreanu leading out for 1,725 into Sergey Rybachenko.

Rybachenko made the call, but when the {6-Spades} rolled off on the river, he folded to Negreanu's 4,100-chip bet.

As he did, Rybachenko flashed his pocket queens before Negreanu stated he spiked the deuce and flashed his {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}.

"Thought you had fives" stated Rybachenko as he slipped to roughly 10,000 while Negreanu moved over the 26,000-chip mark.

Where You Get Those Chips?

Wondering over to Isaac Haxton's table we found that he had virtually tripled up during this first level.

With a seat empty, it would be logical to assume that he had stacked that player, but along with that he has managed to accumulate a further stack of chips to be the current chip leader of the day on a table that features Cody Slaubaugh and Brock Parker.

$20 for a Bluff?

Nivel 1 : 50/75, 0 ante

Catching the action with the board reading {3-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} and roughly 9,000 in the pot, we found Dan Smith firing out a bet of 5,000.

His opponent from the button deliberated for several moments before kicking his cards to the muck.

"Show the bluff!" yelped David "The Dragon" Pham.

"$20" responded Smith.

Pham, or any of the other table members didn't bite, and consequently he tossed his cards at the muck.

"$5?" asked Pham, but it was too late.

Best Friends (and Bari) Unite

Nivel 1 : 50/75, 0 ante

It is not uncommon to find to friends sitting on the same table - even with a player field of over 700 players.

However two best friends have managed to find a seat together with Eric Baldwin and Justin Young seated together. They were soon joined by Allen Bari, and there is no doubt that there will be a little spice on this table!

The List Grows

It is no surprise that an event like this attracts the highest quality field, and with people still in line registering, here are a few more late stragglers that have waltzed through the door.

Low Blinds Are Silly

Nivel 1 : 50/75, 0 ante

Jason Mercier has just arrived at taken a seat at a table with fellow poker pro Kathy Liebert.

"Heat is on now," Liebert said.

Upon sitting down, Mercier asked, "What are the blinds at?" When a player beside him replied, "Fifty, seventy-five," Mercier said, "Sillyness...lets get the blinds up."
