Ray Foley Eliminated in 9th Place ($50,140), Phillip Meulyzer Eliminated in 8th Place ($65,452)

Andre Akkari entered the pot with a raise to 55,000 from middle position. From two seats over, Ray Foley moved all in for 336,000 only to have Phillip Meulyzer four-bet shove for 549,000. Akkari asked for a count, and when delivered the news that it was for roughly a third of his stack, Akkari made the call.

Akkari: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Foley: {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}
Meulyzer: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}

With Foley in the lead and Meulyzer trailing but playing for a side pot, it would be Akkari that would need to spike if he was to send both players to the rail.

Akkari's rail screamed for what only sounded like an ace, and when the dealer spread a {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop they leapt in joy screaming and chanting as Akkari had now taken a strong lead in a hand that could propel him to be one of the clear chip leaders.

The {Q-Spades} on the turn changed little, and when the {6-Hearts} landed on the river, Akkari celebrated - but not as widely as his rail as they waved the Brazilian flag while chanting and yelling undetectable words.

Although Foley will collect $50,140 for his efforts, he will undoubtably be dissapointed after winning this very event a few years ago. Belgium player Meulyzer will also head to the rail in the double elimination collecting $65,452 for his efforts as Akkari soars to 2,950,000 in chips.

Preflop Aggression

Action folded around to Jacob Naquin who raised to 51,000. Zachary Hall decided to three-bet the action to 128,000. It folded back around to Naquin who announced that he was all in and Hall mucked his cards.

The next hand Hall raised to 55,000 only to have Matthew Carmody three-bet to 150,000. When it came back around to Hall he mucked his hand, unable to see a flop once again.

Byron Kaverman Eliminated in 10th Place ($38,839)

Byron Kaverman - 10th Place
Byron Kaverman - 10th Place

From under the gun Matthew Carmody made it 75,000 to go. Byron Kaverman flat called and Ray Foley made it 300,000 total. Action folded back to Carmody who four-bet all in and Kaverman made the call. Foley mucked his hand and we were five cards away from a possible elimination.

Carmody: {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}
Kaverman: {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

The flop spelled trouble for Kaverman, as it fell {9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{J-Clubs}, giving Carmody a set of jacks. The turn came {A-Hearts} and the river {6-Spades} and just like that Kaverman's kings were cracked and he was sent home in 10th place.

Foley Ships

Nivel 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Nachman Berlin opened the action with a raise to 55,000 only to have Ray Foley from two seats over in the hi-jack ship his stack all in.

Faced with an additional 379,000 to call, Berlin thought for a few moments before tossing his cards into the muck to see Foley pushed the pot
