Andre Akkari entered the pot with a raise to 55,000 from middle position. From two seats over, Ray Foley moved all in for 336,000 only to have Phillip Meulyzer four-bet shove for 549,000. Akkari asked for a count, and when delivered the news that it was for roughly a third of his stack, Akkari made the call.

With Foley in the lead and Meulyzer trailing but playing for a side pot, it would be Akkari that would need to spike if he was to send both players to the rail.
Akkari's rail screamed for what only sounded like an ace, and when the dealer spread a 
flop they leapt in joy screaming and chanting as Akkari had now taken a strong lead in a hand that could propel him to be one of the clear chip leaders.
