Razz: Part II

Welcome back for Day 2 of the $2,500 Razz event, the only one like it this summer. Our event began with a robust 363 players, and after a day of play, more than half of them are already long gone. Just 157 players survived the opening eight levels.

We must have been looking the other way when he won a big pot because Scott Epstein appears to have snuck into the top spot in the overnight counts ahead of the guy we had, George Lewis. Epstein begins this second day with 48,900 chips to set the pace. Also in the top ten Tommy Chen, Hoyt Corkins, George Lind III, and Chad Brown.

Our restart was pushed back until 4:00 P.M. today, just about a half hour from now. The dealers are huddled around a pair of tables waiting for the bags to come out, and the Blue section of the Amazon Room will soon be abuzz with activity.

We're playing a truncated nine-level day today which should allow us to finish up right at 3:00 A.M. Our starting time is approaching, and we'll be back with the shuffle up and deal in just a bit.
