John Reiss Eliminated in 9th Place ($20,063)

Nivel 23 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante
John Reiss - 9th place
John Reiss - 9th place

John "J.R." Reiss opened for 84,000 from under the gun -- about half his remaining stack -- and it folded to Jeffrey Gibralter in late position who raised to 150,000. All folded back to Reiss who reraised all in, and Gibralter called.

Reiss {A-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}
Gilbralter {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{J-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

The flop came {K-Clubs}{5-Spades}{9-Diamonds} -- good for Gilbralter, not so good for Reiss. The turn was the {10-Spades}, and Reiss was down to hoping for a saving seven. But the river was the {9-Spades}, and Reiss is out in ninth.

Leader Gibralter moves back up to about 1.34 million on that one.

More Big Chops

Nivel 23 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

We just had another big chopped pot in Event #51 as has been the standard lately.

Robert Campbell raised it up to 75,000 in late position and TJ Scarber re-raised pot to put Campbell all in and he called.

Campbell {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Scarber {a-Spades}{2-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{j-Spades}

The board ran out {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and the river {7-Diamonds} chopped up the pot.

The Trading Of Chips Continues

Michael Yee

The chip line up is much much different than it was when we started the day less than two hours ago, and with a game like Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-low Split-8 or Better it should be no surprise.

In this particular hand, Michael Yee opened for 58,000 in early position and got a call from Marco Oliveira in the small blind.

The flop came down {2-Clubs}{j-Spades}{6-Spades}{q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and Oliveira checked. Yee bet 73,000 and Oliveira check-raised him all in and Yee called for a total of 246,000.

Oliveira: {a-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}
Yee: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}

Yee kept calling for high cards and he got his wish as the turn was the {q-Hearts} and the river was the {9-Hearts} Yee scooped the pot to go up to 655,000. Oliveira fell to 225,000

I Will Make a Stand... Eventually

Nivel 22 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

It folded around to David Singontiko who opened with a raise to 40,000 on the button. Robert Campbell folded, then chip leader Jeffrey Gibralter reraised pot from the big blind.

The action back on him, Singontiko sat for a moment in silence, then piped up. "I - will - not - be - pushed - a - round!" he said with a kind of mock anger, shaking his fist to punctuate each syllable. Then a sheepish grin spread across his face.

"Yeah, I will," he said, and pushed his cards forward. The table laughed in response.

Other than that recent skirmish with John Reiss, Gibralter has been relatively quiet since that huge double-up in the first orbit versus David Sands that gave him the chip lead. He still sits with about 1.35 million, though, plenty of chips with which to try to push around others. Singontiko is in fact his nearest challenger right now with a little over half that stack.

The Craziness Continues

John Reiss
John Reiss

John Reiss made it 70,000 from late position and it folded around ti Jeff Gibralter who put Reiss all in for 111,000 total. Reiss called and the two flipped up their hands.

Reiss: {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Gibratler: {a-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{7-Spades}{j-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and the two on the river gave Reiss the wheel and was good for a double up and a huge fist pump. The hands have been crazy and the all ins have been plentiful. We've only just started so stay tuned.

Singontiko Scoops Sharaskin

Nivel 22 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
David Singontiko
David Singontiko

Igor Sharaskin limped in from UTG+1 and it folded back around to David Singontiko who called from the small blind. Robert Campbell checked his option from the big blind, and the flop came out {5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}.

It checked to Sharaskin who bet 30,000. Singontiko reraised the pot, Campbell folded, Sharaskin reraised pot again, and Singontiko called with his last chips.

Singontiko had {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} for a low draw and nut flush draw, while and Sharaskin had {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{J-Spades}{4-Clubs} for trip jacks and a low draw as well. The turn was the {K-Spades} and river the {10-Spades}, giving Singontiko Broadway and a scoop of the pot.

That bumps Singontiko up close to 700,000, while Sharaskin slips back to about 600,000.
