Lew Doesn't Lose

No Limit Hold'em

On a flop of {9-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, Randy Lew and two other players checked. The {A-Spades} turned and Lew fired out 650. He got a call from one player while the other opted to get out of the way. The {4-Spades} came on the river and Lew bet out 675. His opponent called and Lew flipped over {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}. Lew's opponent mucked and the pot got pushed in Lew's direction.

Bellande Bullys Two Away

No Limit Hold'em

On a {7-Spades}{3-Spades}{q-Clubs} flop a player from early position fired out a bet of 700, another player called and Jean Robert moved all in. The player in early position tanked for awhile before deciding ultimately to fold. The other player in the hand instantly folded, and Bellande took the pot down moving himself up to around 5,500 in chips.

We Can As-Shorr You That Shannon is Busted

No Limit Hold'em

Having rocketed up the chip counts earlier in this evening's session, Shannon Shorr has lost them just as quickly and as a result is now out of Event #52.

Earlier, our field reporter picked up the action between Shorr and a middle position player, who checked to Shorr on the turn with the board reading {J-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{10-Spades}{7-Spades}. Shorr bet 1,100 from the cutoff, but his opponent check-raised, making it 2,600 to go.

Shorr called, then called his opponent's all-in bet after the river of the {5-Spades}, only to muck after the opponent showed {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}. A short time later, he got his money into the middle before the flop with {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}, but ran smack into Sergey's Rybachenko's {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {8-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and that, Shorr has departed the Pavillion Room.

One For Cajelais

No Limit Hold'em

Before the flop, the player in the hijack made it 525 to go only to have the button three-bet to 1,275. Erik Cajelais tanked from the big blind before finally making the call. The hijack also made the call.

The flop came down {A-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Spades} and all three players checked. The {A-Clubs} came on the turn and Cajelais bet out 1,800. Both players folded and Cajelais scooped the pot.

Krost Doubles Through Shorr

Limit Hold'em

Before the flop, Tyron Krost raised the action from under the gun and Shannon Shorr three-bet from the hijack. Krost made the call and the flop came {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. Krost checked and Shorr continued out. Krost raised and Shorr three-bet. Krost tossed out a four-bet and Shorr made the call. On the turn the {2-Hearts} came and Krost moved all in for 300. Shorr made the call and the hands were turned up:

Krost: {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Shorr: {A-}{Q-}

The irrelevant river came the {9-Spades} and Krost doubled up with the nut flush.

Corkins Limiting Himself

Hoyt Corkins
Hoyt Corkins

Limit Hold'em

On a {5-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop we found an under the gun Hoyt Corkins battling it out with the player in the big blind. The big blind checked it to Corkins who then bet. The big blind however then opted to reraise. Corkins made the call and was allowed to see the turn.

With a {8-Hearts} making an appearance on the turn the big blind two-bet and Corkins raised and made it four-bets. The big blind then maxed out the betting and it was off to the river after Corkins made the call.

A {9-Diamonds} touched down, and with it we found the big blind two-betting once again. Corkins called and tabled {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. His opponent countered and flipped over {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for two pair.

Ship it to Bellande

Limit Hold'em

The player in the UTG+1 position raised and the action folded around to Jean-Robert Bellande who re-raised from the hijack position. The UTG +1 player called, then check-raised Bellande's bet after the flop of {2-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Spades}.

The UTG +1 player then check-called Bellande's bets on both the turn of the {10-Diamonds} and the river {6-Hearts}, but Bellande's {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs} was best and took down the pot.
