Cassidy Drawing Dead as D-Negs Doubles

Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Pot-Limit Omaha

Daniel Negreanu limped under the gun and Joe Cassidy raised to 3,600 in the hijack. Negreanu made the call and both players checked the {8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop. On the {2-Spades} turn, Negreanu led for 7,000 and after asking him how much he had left, Cassidy raised enough to put Negreanu all in. Negreanu insta-called and turned over {J-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades} for a straight that was the nuts plus a flush draw. Negreanu asked Cassidy if he had any outs which he didn’t as he turned over {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and was drawing dead. The river was the {2-Clubs} and Cassidy paid the 18,800 total that he owed Negreanu who doubled up.

There's Only One Guillaume Rivet

Nivel 5

No-Limit Hold'em

Preflop, Guillaume Rivet raised to 1,600 from middle position before Shaun Deeb pumped up the action to 5,000 from the cutoff. Rivet made the call and they saw a flop heads up.

The dealer spread out the {5-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and Rivet checked to Deeb who bet 3,700. Rivet called.

The turn was the {8-Hearts} and Rivet check-called again, this time for 10,500. The river was the {5-Clubs} and Rivet checked for a third time. Deeb bet 25,500 and Rivet made the call again. Rivet had {a-}{k-} which was good enough to ship the 90,000-chip pot and get his chip stack to 115,000. Deeb, on the other hand, falls to 48,000.

Durrrr All in and At Risk

Pot-Limit Omaha

Tom Dwan raised to 2,000 in early position and David Oppenheim re-raised to 6,000 as the next to act. Dwan announced pot and it was 19,200 total. Oppenheim raised to put Dwan all in who made the call and asked Oppenheim if he also had aces as the players turned up their hands.

Dwan: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{4-Diamonds}
Oppenheim: {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Both players held aces and Dwan said “keep it low, deuce deuce deuce” before the {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop came down which gave Oppenhiem some two-pair and trips outs. The {10-Spades} on the turn took away those two-pair outs and now only a nine would knock Dwan out, otherwise the players would chop the pot. The river was the {5-Diamonds} and the players did just that.
