Sweet Pot for Sweiss

Nivel 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

California's Maurice "Sam S" Sweiss has taken a huge pot down on table 21 only moments before the first break to become one of the first players to move past 10,000 in chips.

On a board that read {K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, Ryan Margetts checked his option from the big blind before the player under the gun opened. Sweiss raised and Charles Vargas called from the hijack position, as did Randy Dorfman from the button. Margetts check-called and the dealer produced the river {3-Hearts}.

Margetts checked, the UTG player bet, Sweiss raised and both Vargas and Dorfman folded before Margetts called. The UTG player threw his hand into the muck.

"Show me your ace-queen," Margetts sighed. Sweiss tabled his hand, but as it turned out it was {4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for trip threes.

"Yahtzee!" Dorfman cried as Sweiss raked in the pot. Sweiss is now up to 11,500.
