Disrespecting Duhamel

Nivel 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

It may be a coincidence, but we have noticed Jonathan Duhamel has been 3-bet an inordinate amount of times, almost all of which have resulted in Duhamel mucking his hand without seeing a flop. Duhamel's stack has certainly whithered in the past few levels, and is currently sitting at a paltry 50,000.

Flack Spinning Rhymes

Nivel 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

"I would have crumbled you again!" exclaimed an excited Layne Flack after laying his hand down preflop that dominated his opponent.

"I could jump off a building and grow wings. I could sink in water and grow fins. But I just can't beat this guy!" Flack continued to the amusement of the table, the rail and the PokerNews reporters enjoying his antics.

Mizrachi Makes It Happen

Nivel 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

From the cutoff position, Eric Mizrachi pushed his remaining 30,500 chips into the middle and one player made the call.

Mizrachi's {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} was far ahead of his opponent's {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and after the the dealer revealed a board of {K-Clubs}{10-Spades}{A-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}, the twin brother of "The Grinder" had doubled up to just over 80,000 chips.

Eric Mizrachi continues his quest to join his brother Michael among the ranks of WSOP champions.

Albert Kim

Our PokerNews field reporter rushed over to see Albert Kim dragging a pot on a board of {7-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{6-Spades}.

Kim had his {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} tabled, and as the dealer pushed the pot, Kim stacked his chips up to around 160,000 in chips.

Turner Doubles in Hand That Lasts Well into Break

Nivel 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

We caught up just as the hand was ending, but the end result was that Jon "PearlJammer" Turner got all-in with {A-}{J-} against an opponent (who had him covered) with {A-}{9-}. Turner's hand held and he doubled up. There was confusion about the amount he was owed, which was just recently cleared up. In any case, Turner's stack has grown to just over 300,000.

Flack Figures It Out, Folds Final Hand Before Break

Nivel 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

After a flop of {6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades}, Layne Flack faced a bet of 18,500 by Peter Gelencser, who was holding the button. Flack decided to peel one off and made the call, bringing the {K-Spades} on the turn.

Flack checked to Gelencser and watched as the young player quietly announced that he was all-in.

The man known as "Back to Back," a nickname which comes from Flack's incredible capture of two WSOP bracelets in consecutive events during the summer of 2002, went deep into the tank as he thought through the previous action.

Flack took a few sips of his adult beverage and eventually stood to his feet, scratching his face as he went deeper into thought. We saw Flack's lips moving as he replayed the hand in his mind, and after about three minutes of reflection Flack decided to release his hand.

Gelencser flipped up {A-}{A-} and Flack broke into a big grin, knowing that he had come to the correct decision. He playfully began flipping cards over from the muck, searching for the potential river card to see if his outs would have arrived. Heading into the final break of the night, Flack is still in great shape and is looking to add a seventh bracelet to his already impressive collection.
