Hand #146: Long, Long Tank from Sylvia

Nivel 37 : 300,000/600,000, 75,000 ante

Jake Balsiger started this hand with the button. He folded, and Greg Merson limped in from the small blind. Jesse Sylvia checked his option in the big blind, which brought the two players to the {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop.

On the flop, Merson was first and he checked. Sylvia checked behind to see the {J-Hearts} fall on fourth street. Merson fired one million, and Sylvia made the call.

The {2-Hearts} both paired the board on the river and brought in a fourth heart. Merson bet 2.6 million, and Sylvia took his time to think things over. After a couple of long minutes in the tank, Sylvia reached for his water to take a sip. The crowd began to chuckle at this as Sylvia cracked a smile. He sipped his water, put the cap back on, then finally folded, and Merson won the pot.

Hand #145: Balsiger Picks One Up

Nivel 37 : 300,000/600,000, 75,000 ante

Jesse Sylvia had the button and opened to 1.2 million. Jake Balsiger three-bet to 3.5 million, and Sylvia called.

The flop came {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{2-Spades}, Balsiger led out for 3 million, and Sylvia tank-called.

The turn brought the {6-Diamonds}, Balsiger led again - this time for 5.7 million - and Sylvia folded. Balsiger happily raked in his first pot of the evening.

The turn was the {j-Spades}, and Merson fired another bullet worth 4.6 million. Sylvia tank-folded.
