Makhija Doubles Through Jejelowo

Marcia Topp had raised from the hijack and A.J. Jejelowo reraised to 200,000 from the small blind, which was enough to get Topp to fold. On the very next hand, it was Amit Makhija raising from the hijack seat for 76,000, and when it folded to Jejelowo he again reraised to 200,000. The blinds got out, and after thinking for a half-minute Makhija pushed all in for 785,000 total. Jejelowo considered for a short while, then called the shove.

Makhija: {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}
Jejelowo: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}

The flop came {6-Clubs}{9-Spades}{J-Spades}, which didn't help Makhija. The {K-Hearts} turn did provide some extra outs, however. Makhija stood by the table and watched as the dealer delivered the river — the {Q-Diamonds}. Makhija had paired his queen to survive.

As Makhija sat back down to collect his chips, the announcement came over the public address noting that Kyle Bowker had just been eliminated in 84th place. Since the field shrunk to 100, they have announced the names of each player knocked out.

"That could have been me," Makhija said, still smiling with relief about that river card.
