Schwartz Takes Hit

We don't know exactly how the action went preflop, but we know on the flop a under the gun Luke Schwartz was heads up against the big blind with the flop reading {9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. The big blind then checked and Schwartz bet out 1,600. The big blind called and the two were off to the turn.

The {4-Clubs} landed on fourth street and we had a repeat of action with the big blind check-calling a bet of 3,500 from Schwartz. The {K-Hearts} on the river saw a third check from the big blind and action stall on Schwartz. After about 20 seconds Schwartz checked and the big blind turned over {A-}{A-}. Schwartz mucked, and took a small hit to his stack, but still sits with around 47,000.

Torres Tearing Through his Opponents

Fredy Torres has just been involved in a big hand over on his table, picking up plenty of chips to now sit behind around double the starting the stack. We caught the action from the {3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{j-Hearts} flop, with Torres having a bet of 3,500 in front of him, while his opponent had 10,000 out on the felt. At this point it was back on Torres and he shoved all in, having his opponent covered. The player looked disgusted at this bet.

Torres continued to stare intently at his opponent who was covering his face with his shirt and fiddling with his hair. Eventually the player opted to fold, sending the hefty pot to Torres. Before Torres mucked his cards, he let his opponent pick one and the {k-Diamonds} was revealed.

"Maybe we had the same hand," the player said. "I had pocket kings."

Grinder on the Move

We found Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi playing hand against an unknown opponent. The board ran {A-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {5-Hearts} and both players checked all the way.

He tabled {K-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} for a busted straight draw and his opponent tabled two red nines. Even thought Mizrachi lost the hand, he is flush with chips - just over 60,000.

Cowboys for Tilly

Action folded to the cutoff and he raised to 425. The player in the button called only to find Jennifer Tilly pop it up to 1,500 from the small blind. Both of her opponents called and the three saw a flop of {5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}.

Tilly continued out for 2,500 and received calls from both of her opponents once again. It checked around, however, on the {4-Diamonds} turn and they did so once again on the {5-Hearts} river.

Tilly tabled {K-Clubs}{k-Spades} and both of her opponents let their hands go. This film and poker superstar is now sitting on 61,500 in chips.

Chips for Cada

Joe Cada tossed out a bet of 925 with the board reading {10-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}. A player in late position called, and a player who had checked from the big blind, folded.

The turn was the {j-Hearts}, and Cada led out for 2,000. His opponent called.

The {8-Diamonds} completed the board, and Cada led again - this time for 4,000. His opponent immediately folded, and Cada picked up the pot.

Elder Doesn't Get Paid Off

We caught up on a board of {8-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} to see Rupert Elder and two other opponents in the hand. Elder checked from the small blind and the second player checked to the button. The button bet out 1,200 and Elder flat called. The other player folded and the two were heads up to the {2-Clubs} on fourth street.

Elder checked once again and his opponent rapped the table behind. The {3-Diamonds} rivered and Elder checked for a third time. His opponent checked too and showed {K-Spades}{7-Diamonds} for king high. Elder tabled {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for a flopped full house and took down the pot.

"The pot would be bigger if you bet," jabbed Jimmy Fricke from across the table.

"Huh?" said Elder.

"Nevermind," replied Fricke.

Elder is now sitting on a stack of about 35,500.
