Cards in the Air!

Nivel 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

The cards are back in the air here in the Brasilia Room (they've been in the air for a few minutes over in the Amazon Room), and we'll play one more 120-minute level then take a 90-minute dinner break.

Chip Counts Purple Section

Here's a look at some notables from the Amazon Room.

Break it Up!

Nivel 7 : 300/600, 75 ante

The players are on their second break of the day. This one is thirty minutes rather than twenty minutes - the floor has to color up all of the green T25 chips, making this one of the biggest color-ups of the year.

Updated Chip Counts from the Brasilia Room

Woodward Chopped Down

Jacob Rasmussen, Matt Woodward, and a third player saw a flop of {7-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{10-Hearts}. The action checked to Woodward, who fired 2,000, and Rasmussen check-raised to 6,600. The third player folded, and Woodward called.

The turn was the {5-Hearts}, and Rasmussen led out for 12,000. Woodward studied the Dane for the better part of two minutes, then grabbed two orange T5,000 chips and two yellow T1,000 chips, and tossed them forward to make the call.

The {9-Hearts} completed the board, and Rasmussen fired 25,000 - more than two thirds of his stack. Woodward released, and Rasmussen raked in the pot.

Israelashvili's Got It

It's been a great level for Roland Israelashvili, who finished 5th in the $50,000 Players Championship last month. We counted him at 48,000 a mere 20 minutes ago, but we just saw him take down a big pot that has upped his stack to 115,000!

We caught the action on the river with the board reading {3-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs}{q-Clubs}. Israelashvili's opponent had bet out 10,000, and we saw Israelashvili put in a raise to 30,000. His opponent tanked for about 30 seconds before calling, and Israelashvili said "I got it". He showed big slick, {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}, for the nut straight, and his opponent could only show {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for top pair. Israelashvili is making a big move up the chip count chart as we near the second break of the day.
