The turn was the {k-Clubs} , Lucarelli led for 4,000, and Rasmussen called.

The {9-Spades} completed the board, and Lucarelli moved all in for 17,225. Rasmussen called, and Lucarelli tabled {9-Clubs} {9-Hearts} for nines full of threes. Rasmussen mucked, and his stack slipped to 20,000.

Williams Among Recent Eliminations

Action folded to a short-stacked David Williams and he moved all in for 5,000 from middle position. Ronny Kaiser was next to act in the hijack and tossed in a call, while the rest of the field got out of the way.

Williams knew he was in trouble and up out of his chair headed to the flop, which came . Williams picked up some chop outs as a nine would give both players the same straight, while the left him in need of either a nine or king. The dealer burned one last time and put out the , putting an end to Williams' 2012 World Series of Poker Main Event.

Opposite Ends of the Scale for Eames and Lovgren

John Eames has had a fairly successful World Series of Poker so far, managing to cash four times, including a final table in Event 5: $1,500 Pot-Limit Hold'em. Sofia Lovgren has similarly cashed three times, including a deep run in Event 54: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em. They are seated at the same table today, but their chip stacks are currently at opposite ends of the scale.

We recently caught up with the action on the river of {a-Spades} {2-Diamonds} {a-Hearts} {8-Hearts} {q-Hearts} board and with Lovgen leading out for 2,500 into Eames. After almost a minute, Eames let his hand go and left himself with under 10,000 in chips, while Lovgren managed to move above six-figures.

Jennier Shahade is one quarter of the Grindettes - a group of women empowered by poker - and she was just eliminated.

Shahade moved all in on a flop of {K-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {9-Hearts} and was called by Andrew Pantling.

Double for Flack

We don't know exactly how the action went, but we can surmise that a player in early position raised it up and Layne Flack moved all in for around 6,500 on top. The table folded around to the initial raiser and he made the call. Cards were flipped over and Flack found himself in a race situation.

Opponent: {Q-Hearts} {j-Diamonds}

The board came {9-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {4-Spades} {10-Spades} and with the four on the turn Flack was guaranteed to double up, and now sits around 14,000.

Nghi Van Tran opened to 1,400 from middle position, Charles Flett called in the cutoff, and Paul Varano three-bet to 4,350 out of the small blind. Tran and Flett called.

The flop fell {2-Spades} {9-Spades} {7-Diamonds} , and Varano led for 7,150. Tran called, and Flett moved all in for 26,000. Varano re-jammed for around 54,000, and Tran snap-called.

The turn was the {8-Spades} , giving Flett a flush, and Tran yelled, "Pair the board! Pair the board!"

The dealer obliged, spiking the {7-Clubs} on the river to give Tran quads. Varano and Flett were eliminated, and Tran now has around 160,000 chips.
