Tough River For Cody

We caught up with the four handed action on the flop, which had come down {2-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. It was checked to a player in middle position, and he fired out 12,500. Jake Cody came along for the ride, and the other two players folded. The {9-Hearts} hit the turn, and it was checked to Cody, who fired out 17,700. His opponent made the call, and the river brought the {8-Spades}. Cody's opponent checked, and Cody did likewise. His opponent showed {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for a river set, and Cody took a peak at his cards again before spiking them face down on the felt.

After that hand, Cody is down to 262,000.

Guetti Bests Boeree In Big Pot

All the cards were out in a heads up pot between Liv Boeree and Anthony Guetti on the last hand before dinner. The board read {2-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, and Boeree bet out 27,000 into the pot, which had about 33,000 in it. Guetti thought for about 15 seconds, before assembling a raise of 77,000, and dropping it into the pot.

Boeree tanked into the dinner break for about 90 seconds before tossing in the call. Guetti tabled {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} for a flopped set, and Boeree mucked her hand, dropping to 310,000, while Guetti shoots up to 483,000.
