The players checked all the way to the river on a board of J♥J♦8♣8♥5♠. On the river, Brandl bet 80,000, but Bapir opted to fold. Handula seemed resigned to his fate, and the showdown confirmed it: Brandl revealed 5♣5♦ for a full house, while Handula's A♣K♥ was only ace high. Handula was eliminated, while Brandl added a significant boost to his stack.
