Marechal Shows Cappiello the Bluff
Nivel 29
: Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
With roughly 1,500,000 in the pot on a board of 10♦7♣8♥5♥ Candido Cappiello bet 1,050,000 from the small blind with Frederic Marechal making the call from the cutoff.
A board-pairing 5♣ hit the river and Cappiello continued with a bet of 2,900,000. This was met by an immediate shove by Marechal. Cappiello went deep into the tank, thinking for roughly four-minutes as the raise was for Cappiello's remaining 8,300,000.
Ultimately, Cappiello folded and showed J♠9♠ for a straight. Marechal immediately stood up and slammed down A♠7♠ right in front of his opponent for just a stone cold bluff with a pair of sevens. This caused Cappiello to jump out of his chair, put his head in his hands and begin to mutter to himself in his native language.
