2024 WSOP Europe
Nivel: 10
Ciegas: 1,000/2,000
Ante: 2,000
The remaining players are now on a 15-minute break.
In a pot of 12,400, Ermanno Di Nicola bet 11,500 from the small blind on a flop of Q♥10♦5♥. Nicusor Matei called in the big blind and so did Daniel Smuskovics in the hijack.
The 2♣ fell on the turn, seeing Di Nicola bet the pot of 46,900. Matei then pushed all in, covering both of his opponents. Smuskovics committed his stack of 71,000 and Di Nicola called off for 70,000 as well.
Ermanno Di Nicola: Q♦10♣5♣2♦
Daniel Smuskovics: A♥K♥J♦3♦
Nicusor Matei: 10♠10♥7♥6♦
Matei had the best hand with a set and was on the verge of increasing his big stack even more, but Smuskovics' combo draw came in on the K♦ river.
He made Broadway to scoop the big pot, ending up with a stack worth double the average and sending Di Nicola to the exit.

With roughly 30,000 in the middle on a board of 3♦6♠2♣K♣, Bjorn Verbakel had bet 30,000 from the big blind blind into George Sandford on the button. Sandford only had roughly 40,000 remaining in his stack and after debating over the decision for a while, opted to move all in. Verbakel called and the cards were flipped over.
George Sandford: 7♣7♠6♥5♣
Bjorn Verbakel: K♠9♣4♣4x
Verbakel was ahead with top pair and Sandford needed a lot of help on the river to stay alive in the tournament. He found it when the dealer put out the 5♦, improving him to the winning hand with two pair, sixes and fives. Sandford would double up to over 100,000 while Verbakel was left very short.

A pot of 33,200 chips was in between Thomas Eychenne in the small blind and Nicusor Matei on the button.
Eychenne then made a pot-sized bet on the completed board of 10♠4♦9♦6♦J♣, the vast majority of his stack. Matei thought it over for a couple of moments before flicking in the call.
Eychenne sighed as he tabled K♠J♦8♥5♠ for a pair of jacks. Matei showed down K♥Q♠Q♦10♣ for a straight to the king, adding some more chips to his already impressive stack.
One table over, defending champion Hokyiu Lee was also spotted with a stack worth around eight starting stacks.

Krasimir Yankov opened to 5,000 from early position with Nino Pansier calling on the button, and Rene Knapp defending out of the big blind.
The flop of A♠A♥10♣ was checked to Pansier and he chose to bet 9,000. Pansier was immediately check-raised to 45,000 by Knapp, which forced two quick folds from Yankov and Pansier.

Emanuel Singer raised to 4,000 from early position and was three-bet to 12,500 by Jorge Ufano on the button. After the blinds folded, Singer called to see a flop.
SInger checked the A♦6♠5♥ flop and Ufano fired out a bet of 19,000. Singer check-shoved for roughly 45,000 which Ufano called.
Emanuel Singer: J♣8♦7♥6♣
Jorge Ufano: A♥K♦10♣9♠
Singer had a lot of cards he could hit to take a commanding lead in the hand. However, he failed to hit any of them on the 3♣ turn and 10♥ river, as Ufano improved to top two pair and Singer was sent to the rail.

Israel Bulut fired a pot-sized bet of 20,000 on a flop of 2♠J♦4♦ from under the gun. Bernd Gleissner called on the button to the 2♦ turn.
Bulut slowed down and checked before Gleissner put his opponent all-in for 13,800. Bulut immediately called, creating a showdown.
Israel Bulut: J♥J♣9♣8♣
Bernd Gleissner: A♥K♦5♠2♣
Bulut had flopped top set and turned a full house. Gleissner had one out left in the deck, but the 10♣ river did not bring him a fourth deuce as Bulut doubled up.
