Martini Spikes Quads to Take Out Two

Nivel 11 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Three-handed on a flop of 8K9, Sebastian Mortensen moved all in for 95,000 from the cutoff, Maximilian Klostermeier put in his last 60,000 from the button, and Julien Martini covered them both in middle position.

Martini was ahead with his set of nines, while Klostermeier had a straight draw and Mortensen the nut flush draw. But both of them were left drawing dead after the 9 fell on the turn to give Martini quads. The river was the J and Martini scooped the pot to send both opponents to the rail.

"Usually we say it's never easy, but this time," a tablemate told Martini after the hand.

Deeb Straddles, Then Doubles Livshitz

Nivel 11 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Shaun Deeb raised to 6,000 in the dark from under the gun and Hen Rosilio called in the cutoff. Gabi Livshitz then three-bet to 28,000 on the button and only Deeb called.

The flop came J54 and Livshitz bet 75,000. "Got anything?" Deeb asked him.

"This is my last money. I don't have any more money to play any other tournaments and I have a flight to catch tomorrow. If it's my time to go, it's my time," Livshitz replied.

"All I've got is eights right now," Deeb added as he moved all in. Livshitz then called for his last 115,000.

"Eights are ahead right now," he told Deeb as they revealed their cards.
