Action was picked up on the river of 6♦3♣6♣10♠4♥ where Matthias Kribben was facing an all in bet from Jelmer Schuurmans.
Kribben was in the tank and the pot contained around 50,000 in chips. Eventually Kribben found the fold and left Schuurmans with a sizable pot early into the tournament.
Jessica Teusl kicked off the action with a raise to 500, and Gerhard Brimmers, sitting in the big blind, made the call.
The flop came down 9♦6♠J♣, and Brimmers seized the initiative, leading out with a bet of 1,200, which Teusl quickly called.
On the J♥ turn, Brimmers fired again, this time for 2,200, and once again, Teusl opted to call.
The river brought the 6♥, potentially saving Teusl, but Brimmers kept the pressure on with a bet of 5,200. Teusl decided to call, only to see Brimmers flip over J♦10♥ for a full house.
In a later conversation, Teusl revealed she had been holding aces the whole time.
Action was picked up with Matthias Kribben betting out for 300 from the big blind on the flop of 8♠4♠3♠. Jelmer Schuurmans called from the button.
Kribben led again on the 9♥ turn, this time for 700. Schuurmans called once again. The 10♣ river was checked down. Kribben tabled 7♥8♦ for third pair and Schuurmans mucked.
Last year’s €1,650 NLH 6-max event winner, Tobias Peters, has just taken his seat.
Action was picked up on the flop of 8♥4♠5♥ which was checked by Presiyan Tsvetanov from the small blind. Iraklis Manikaros checked back from the big blind.
Tsvetanov then led for 300 on the 5♦ turn and Manikaros called. The 3♠ river was checked down. Manikaros tabled 6♦4♦ for two pair which bested Tsevtanov's K♠9♠.
Ran Koller opened to 300 from the button. Alexander Kleinhans defended the big blind.
Kleinhans check-called a bet of 400 on the flop of 5♦8♠J♠. The Q♠ turn was checked around before Kleinhans checked again on the 2♠ river.
Koller then bet 1,200 which garnered a quick fold from Kleinhans.
The tournament is set to begin, and with the button in seat six, the dealers have been given the signal to shuffle up and deal.
