Shovkovyi Spikes the River On Compton in Tournament's Largest Pot!

On the last hand before the break, a heads-up flop read 9♦K♠5♦ when John Compton checked, Vladyslav Shovkovyi bet the pot of 320,000 and Compton check-jammed for over a million.

Shovkovyi made the call to put himself at risk and the two players tabled their hands in the largest pot of the tournament.

With this win, Shovkovyi dethrones Compton as the chip leader and Compton himself is now the shortest stack in the room.
