Rios Eliminates Kemper to End Day 1e

Nivel 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

After doubling up the previous hand with king-eight against the pocket fives of Jake White, Drake Kemper got it all in once again on the stone bubble...

"You never feel more alive than when you are close to death!" Kemper said as the action folded to Eloy Rios.

"I call," Rios announced to put Kemper at risk, and once the tournament director gav them the green light, the cards were on their backs.

Drake Kemper: QQAll in
Eloy Rios: AK

"Wow! Classic!" the table said almost in unison as the two players held the most ultimate, classic, made-for-TV-hand in the book, on the stone bubble.

The flop of 256 was clean for Kemper, but the K smacked down on the turn to give Rios the lead and the river was the brick 3 to send Kemper out in brutal fashion.

Borovetz Knocks Out Nguyen for Chip Lead

Nivel 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

H Borovetz opened to 29,000 from early position and was called by several players to see a flop of 4Q9.

Borovetz continued for 55,000 and the action folded to Son Nguyen on the button who raised to 155,000 but then Borovetz responded by ripping his whole stack of 650,000 into the middle. Nguyen made the call to put himself at risk and they were off to the races.

Son Nguyen: AQAll in
H Borovetz: KK

Borovetz was in good shape with his kings, but Nguyen could still hit an ace or queen for the win. Unfortunately for him, the runout of 510 did not do it and he was eliminated.

"Yeah!" Borovetz exclaimed and clapped his hands together as the monster pot was shipped his way to rocket him into the chip lead.

Franco Falls to Hendricks' Flopped Set

Nivel 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

The action was picked up on a heads-up flop of 736 when Travis Hendricks led-jammed for 200,000 and the action was then on Roger Franco who had less.

Franco went into the tank for quite a bit before he decided to make the call and put himself at risk.

Travis Hendricks: 66

"Agh, nice hand," Franco sighed as he stood up, as he was drawing only to a jack to stay alive. Unfortunatley for him, the runout of AA could not provide one and he was eliminated from Day 1e.

Vicioso Flops a Boat, Yen Exits

Nivel 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

On a heads-up turn of 454K, Joaquin Vicioso checked, Tzu 'Jerry' Yen bet 9,000 and was then raised to 21,000 by Quynh Ho.

Joaquin Vicioso then called while Yen found himself in a pickle. After thinking it over, he decided to throw his hand away and his two opponents went to the river A. Vicioso then tossed out his last 10,000 and Ho called to put him at risk.

Vicosio then confidently tabled 55 for a flopped full house while Ho was drawing to two outs with his 88 but could not get there and Vicosio was awarded the double.

Meanwhile, Yen was kicking himself for folding pocket nines as he would have gotten a double through Ho. Left short, hw was eliminated soon afterward.
