Shovkovyi Calls With Ace-High

Vladyslav Shovkovyi
Vladyslav Shovkovyi

On a heads-up turn of 9939, Vladyslav Shovkovyi led for 45,000 and was called by Kyle Arora.

The river hit the 10 and Shovkovyi checked over to Arora, who then set out a stack of 400,000 to cover him.

Shovkovyi then went into the tank for over two minutes before he decided to make the call. He then received the good news when Arora tapped the table and told him he was good as he showed KJ for just king-high.

Shovkovyi then flipped over AQ for a superior ace-high to take down the pot for a double.

After Trung Pham opened from the cutoff for 55,000 and Eloy Rios called, Kris Burchfield moved all in. Pham shoved over the top for a lot more and Rios quickly got out of the way folding pocket tens face up and the two live hands were tabled.

Kris Burchfield: AKAll in
Trung Pham: AJ

"Don't do it to me, Trung," Burchfield laughed as the dealer spread the flop of 367.

"No diamond! NO DIAMOND!" Burchfield stood up as the turn came the 2 to give Pham a flush draw.

Sure enough, the K fell on the river to send him out in gross fashion.

On a heads-up turn of 6977, Trung Pham led out for 180,000 but was then raised to 650,000 by fellow big stack Andrew Tran.

After thinking it over, Pham decided to make the call and the two continued to the river K. Pham checked once more and Tran decided to check back.

Pham then confidently tabled 89 for nines and sevens and Tran raised his eyebrows and held a brief hand funeral before he mucked his hand. Pham was then shipped the huge pot to jump him into the chip lead.

Gabriel Andrade
Gabriel Andrade

Short-stacked Gabriel Andrade got it all in preflop against David Mzaruelov, who covered.

Gabriel Andrade: K5All in

"Five!" Andrade yelled as the flop came out 10K4 to give both players a pair of kings.

"Five!" He yelled again but the dealer put out the 6 on the turn.

"FIVE!" Andrade yelled one last time, and the cards finally seemed to hear him as the river came the 5 to give him the two pair he desperately needed to score the double.

Unfortunately, this victory did not last long as he moved all in a few hands later after an open from Jonathan Vuong.

"You know if you bust me, you won't be able to enjoy my singing anymore," Andrade tells him as he starts singing very much 'on-key'.

With that, Vuong snap-calls to put him at risk and the cards were tabled.

Jonathan Vuong: KQ

Andrade was in the lead with his deuces, but the runout was not his friend as it came 105959 to counterfeit him and he was eliminated with deuce-high to Vuong's king-high.

Maxx Holland opened under-the-gun to 100,000 and was three-bet to 300,000 by David Valden, but then John Ross put in the four-bet to 675,000 from the cutoff. The action folded back to Valden who made the call and the two players went to a flop of 424.

Valden checked to Ross who fired out for 420,000 and produced a fold from Valden.

"Phewwww!" Ross let out a deep sigh of relief as he pulled in the pot and showed KQ, which got quite a few reactions from the table.

Holland admitted to folding pocket tens, Valden said he had ace-queen suited, and even Jake Daniels said he folded ace-king on the button after faced with the four-bet.

On the flop of 9x3x2x, Bahls checked, Zhang moved all in for his last 380,000, and Arora quickly called to put him at risk.

Arora and Daniels Fall to Vuong

Jonathan Vuong
Jonathan Vuong

After Jonathan Vuong made it 430,000 to go, Kyle Arora moved all in for 1,600,000 and the action was back on Vuong.

"I'm sorry for nit-rolling," he said after a good minute and made the call, showing AQ against the KQ of Arora.

Arora would need some help to stay alive, but the flop of AA5 left him drawing only to running hearts. Unfortunately for him, the 2 immediately killed those hopes and he was sent to the rail when the river hit the 10.

Two hands later, Vuong got it in once more, this time against Jake Daniels, whom he also covered.

Jake Daniels: AJAll in
Jonathan Vuong: AA

Daniels would need a lot of help to stay alive against Vuong's aces, but the runout of Q107310 could not do it and he was sent to the payout desk as well.
