"Megas", Imad Derwiche, and Sebastien Compte each put in 7,500 preflop. "Megas" then bet 10,000 on the A♥J♦4♠ flop and was called by only Derwiche.

The rest of Derwiche's chips flew in on the K♠ turn, tabling the cards.

Derwiche needed a three or a spade to double up. The J♠ river was a spade, but it gave "Megas" a full house to take the pot and eliminate Derwiche.

Verenko Fells "Megas" as First Casualty

Roman Verenko raised to 3,500 in early position. "Megas" called in the cutoff before Daniel Zaremba came along on the button. The trio saw a flop of Q♣J♣6♥, where Verenko continued for 8,000.

"Megas" then raised to 25,000, forcing out Zaremba. Verenko decided to three-bet to 88,000, after which "Megas" shoved all in for a starting stack. Verenko snap-called and the cards went face-up.

Verenko had flopped top set against the middle set of "Megas". "Megas" made a straight on the K♠ turn to take a big lead, but the 6♦ river paired the board to give Verenko the best full house.

He doubled up and left "Megas" with no chips remaining.
