2025 PLO Grand Slam
Kasparas Klezys raised his button to 200,000, facing a three-bet of 640,000 once it got around to Daniel Tordjman in the big blind. Klezys called to the 5♠10♥9♥ flop, where he also called Tordjman's continuation-bet of 1,000,000.
Tordjman then announced a pot-sized bet of 3,400,000 on the 3♣ turn, getting a quick fold from Klezys.
The next hand, Klezys and Tordjman clashed again. Three-way on a flop of Q♦10♥4♦, Tordjman cold three-bet all-in after Klezys had raised a bet. Klezys called off his stack of 3,500,000, and the cards hit their backs.
Kasparas Klezys: Q♠J♦J♣10♦
Daniel Tordjman: K♠Q♥Q♣9♠
Klezys's top two pair was drawing very thin against the set of Tordjman. The 2♣4♠ runout could not save Klezys, seeing Tordjman win the monster pot and start the final table with an enormous lead.
Leon Freiholz was down to 760,000, which he got in from the big blind against Sofoklis Palekythritis on the button.
Leon Freiholz: Q♣J♠J♦5♦
Sofoklis Palekythritis: A♣K♥7♥2♥
The 10♠3♣9♦ flop was clean for Freiholz, removing some of his opponent's outs. The 7♦ made Palekythritis a pair, and the 2♣ river upgraded him to two pair, the winning hand.
Freiholz said his goodbyes and left to pick up his cash while the tournament was left on the final table bubble.
Maksim Shuts opened for 200,000 in the cutoff. Tom Vogelsang defended his big blind and check-called Shuts' bet of 175,000 on the 2♦J♠6♠ flop.
The 8♣ turn checked through to the 9♠ river, where Vogelsang bet the pot of 870,000.
Shuts quickly mucked his cards and surrendered the pot to the table chipleader.
Nivel: 19
Ciegas: 40,000/80,000
Ante: 80,000
Kasparas Klezys kicked off the action with a raise to 175,000 as first to act. Leon Freiholz sat in the cutoff and three-bet to 570,000, which Klezys four-bet to 1,800,000 once it got back to him.
Freiholz then went all in for Klezys' stack of 2,950,000. Klezys took some time to think things over, but eventually decided he was committed and made the call.
Kasparas Klezys: K♥K♣10♣9♠
Leon Freiholz: A♠A♣7♥6♠
It was looking grim for Klezys' kings after the 2♦J♣4♦ flop, but the 9♣ turn provided him with a plethora of outs. The 2♣ river was one of them, making him a flush and doubling him up to a massive 100 big blinds.
Picking up the action on a turn of 4♥2♦Q♥J♣, Leon Freiholz checked to Daniel Tordjman under the gun. Tordjman fired a bet of 500,000 into a pot 850,000, which Freiholz called.
The river brought the J♠. Freiholz checked again and quickly faced an all-in bet from Tordjman. Freiholz quickly called for his stack of 1,660,000 and tabled K♣Q♣4♦2♠ for queens and jacks.
Tordjman only flashed his cards briefly before adding them to the muck, complimenting his opponent's call and paying him off.
Lautaro Guerra three-bet to 570,000 on the button after Tom-Aksel Bedell had made it 160,000 to go under the gun. It folded back to Bedell, who called.
Bedell then put Guerra all-in on the Q♠2♦A♥ flop, with the Spanish player calling off his last 250,000.
Lautaro Guerra: A♠K♣2♠2♣
Tom-Aksel Bedell: A♦K♦6♥6♣
Guerra had flopped a set to take a big lead over Bedell. The Q♦ turn and 5♥ river changed nothing, doubling up Guerra and leaving Bedell with just under 25 big blinds.
Sofoklis Palekythritis had pushed his stack of 1,225,000 in preflop on the button and was looked up by Daniel Tordjman under the gun.
Sofoklis Palekythritis: A♦A♣9♠7♣
Daniel Tordjman: K♥K♣7♦6♥
"It's always aces," Tordjman noted. The 9♣8♥3♣ flop gave him a straight draw for some extra outs, but the J♠8♣ runout provided no extra help for the chipleader, doubling up Palekythritis.
"Jay" and Daniel Tordjman had gotten their chips in the middle preflop again. This time, "Jay" was at risk for 1,400,000 from the small blind against Tordjman on the button.
"Jay": A♠A♣5♥5♦
Daniel Tordjman: K♠K♥8♦4♦
The 9♦A♦6♠ flop gave "Jay" top set, but made Tordjman a flush draw to stay live. The 3♦ completed the Frenchman's flush, while the K♦ river did not fill up "Jay"s set, making him the first elimination of Day 3.
