The 2024 PokerStars European Poker Tour Cyprus taking place at Merit Royal Diamond Hotel Casino & Spa continues today with the $1,100 Eureka Main Event. With two of the six starting flights already having concluded yesterday, and Day 1c currently underway, a 7 p.m. start time will make way for the penultimate turbo flight, Day 1d.

In the early hours of Thursday morning, the fast-paced Day 1b ended with Xiaosheng Zheng bagging the chip lead, taking through a total of 485,000 for the Day 2 restart. However, Zheng’s dominant performance was bested by both Day 1a contenders Mateusz Sikora and Sergei Bortsov who managed to take through stacks of 500,000 and 598,000, respectively.

Each player will receive a starting stack of 30,000 with the blinds commencing at 100/100 with a 100 big-blind ante. The levels will be 30 minutes long with players allowed one reentry per flight. A break of 15 minutes will be held after every four levels. Late registration will close at the end of Level 10 and play will end for the day once the field is reduced to 15% of the total entries. All players who survive into Day 2 are guaranteed to make the money, with the prize pool being announced at the start of Day 2.

Those unfortunate enough not to find a bag for Day 2 are in luck; two more starting flights tomorrow will provide ample opportunity to progress.
