Guiyang Wang raised to 12,000 from the hijack and Maksim Shornikau defended out of the big blind.
Shornikau check-called a bet of 16,000 from Wang on the 9♥3♥7♣ flop.
Both players checked the 5♣ turn and 4♠ river. Shornikau flipped over 9♠8♣ for a pair of nines, but was second best to the J♦J♠ of Wang.
Akin Tuna raised to 12,000 from the hijack and Berthold Winz called in the cutoff before Aleksejs Ponakovs three-bet to 45,000 on the button. When the action got back to Tuna, he used some extra time then called, and Winz also called.
The three went to a flop of J♠K♦J♦ where Tuna checked, and Winz shoved for just under 300,000. Ponakovs rechecked his cards before he folded, then Tuna asked for a count. After realizing the total number was 298,000, Tuna folded.
"My heart. I'm just an old man," said Winz in reference to his accelerated heartbeat during that hand.

It's official. After its return in 2023 following a 12-year hiatus, PokerStars has confirmed that The Big Game on Tour is back again this year, with more episodes to be filmed at the NAPT Las Vegas festival.
Ten episodes of the show were filmed last year, with the likes of Phil Hellmuth, Maria Ho, Lex Veldhuis and Sam Grafton all taking part. The show features a lucky Loose Cannon who receives $50,000 and has to survive 150 hands playing $50/$100 with a table of poker pros, ambassadors, and celebrities.
PokerNews spoke with Big Game on Tour judge and commentator James Hartigan ahead of the show's return, and he says he's thrilled the show is back.
The players have been sent on a 25-minute break.

Adrian Cazacu raised to 10,000 from the button and Ray Qartomy shoved from the big blind for just under 100,000. Cazacu put all of his time bank cards into the middle and after using one of them, he made the call.

Qartomy had already walked away from the table before the dealer ran the board as he couldn't watch. However, he needn't have worried as he flopped top set and held up on the 3♣7♥J♥A♦8♥ runout.
Shankui Li opened to 10,000 under the gun, and received a call from Simeon Spasov on the button.
On the 5♣4♣3♠ flop, Li check-called versus a bet of 7,000 from Spasov.
The 2♠ turn was checked through. On the 8♥ river, Li check-called a bet of 28,000 from Spasov, but was shown the bad news when Spasov revealed A♦J♣ for the five-high straight, forcing Li to muck.
