Romanello Good at Showdown

Roberto Romanello opened to 10,000 under the gun, and Oleg Ustinovich defended the big blind.

On the A♥8♥2♥ flop, Ustinovich check-raised to 25,000 versus a bet of 9,000 from Romanello, who made the call.

The 3♣ rolled off on the turn, and Ustinovich continued with a bet of 35,000, which couldn't shake off Romanello.

The 7♥ river completed the board, leading to one-card flush possibilities, and Ustinovich slid out a blocker bet of 8,000. Romanello made the quick call.

Ustinovich tabled A♦Q♦ for top pair aces, but Romanello had 9♥9♠ for the flush, sending him the pot.

Astedt continued with a bet of 35,000 on the 7♣10♦5♦ flop and Savenkov called.

Astedt bet again when the A♥ hit the turn, this time for 60,000. Savenkov burned through a time-bank card before folding and Astedt pulled in the pot.

With around 40,000 in the pot on a board of 10♥9♣Q♣A♠, Lars Kamphues checked and Sebastian Malec fired 8,000. Kamphues then put in a raise to 35,000, which Malec called.

A 2♠ dropped on the river and after Kamphues checked, Malec took a while before he checked back.

Kamphues showed two pair with Q♦9♦, but Malec had a bigger two pair with A♥Q♠ to take the pot.
