Wigg Gets a Pot

Anton Wigg A♠7♦ raised to 120,000 from under the gun and Georgios Tsouloftas 4♥4♦ called from the cutoff. Damir Zhugralin 5♠5♦ and Oliver Weis 3♥3♣ also came along from the blinds.

The pocket fives remained ahead on the Q♥Q♠8♠ flop and action checked through to the 7♣ turn, where Wigg took the lead. Action checked though once again, and Wigg locked up the checkmark after the 2♦ completed the board.

Wigg bet 175,000 and folded out the table.

Shalamov Cold Four-Bets

Andrea Dato raised to 120,000 under the gun and Timo Kamphues three-bet to 320,000 in the cutoff. Mikhail Shalamov then four-bet to 750,000 in the big blind.

Dato quickly folded, but Kamphues used two time banks and took a minute before he also gave up his hand.

"Do you have a twin brother? I see you standing there," Andriy Lyubovetskiy asked Kamphues after the hand as Kamphues' twin brother Lars was watching the action from the rail.

"At the final table he's tagging in," Kamphues joked.

A few hands later, Dato moved all in from the small blind and Anton Kraous, down to his last 400,000, paused for a moment before folding.

Arian Kashani A♦2♦ opened to 120,000 from under the gun and was called by Georgios Tsouloftas 8♥8♣ from the next seat over. Oliver Weis J♣J♠ three-bet to 625,000 from the small blind and only Tsouloftas called.

The A♣5♣5♦ flop kept Weis in front, and he bet 225,000, which Tsouloftas called.

The Q♦ turn checked through to the 3♠ river, which then checked through to showdown. Weis tabled his jacks and took the pot.

Georgios Tsouloftas A♥K♣ opened to 120,000 from under the gun before Oliver Weis 4♥4♦ made it 375,000 from the button. Tsouloftas four-bet to 950,000 and was called.

Tsouloftas paired up on the K♠Q♦J♦ flop, and checked. Weis fired out 650,000 and was called to swell the pot to 3,350,000.

The 5♦ turn gave Weis flush outs, and he sized up to 1,900,000 after Tsouloftas checked for a second time and then folded the better hand.

Weis tabled the bluff and took in the sizeable pot to take the chip lead.

Both players checked, and Weis tabled A♥A♦ for aces, and bested Tsouloftas' 9♥8♥.

Kraous Doubles Back Through Joyce

Anton Kraous shoved for his last 265,000 from the cutoff and it was folded to Philip Joyce in the big blind, who quickly stuck in a call after looking at his hole cards.

"We're probably flipping," Joyce said before both hands were revealed.

Joyce was correct, but the 2♥6♣10♥3♦6♥ runout came in Kraous' favor to award him the double up and leave Joyce as the short stack once again.

Georgios Tsouloftas J♣9♣ opened to 120,000 from the button and Bobby James K♦Q♠ called from the small blind.

James made trips on the Q♥Q♦4♣ flop and check-called for 80,000, bringing in the 3♦ turn. James checked for a second time and Tsouloftas sized up to 230,000. James just called again.

The 4♠ river filled James up and he continued his trap with another check. Tsouloftas avoided it and checked back to see the 980,000 pot go over to James.

Timo Kamphues raised to 120,000 in the cutoff and Andriy Lyubovetskiy called on the button, as did big blind Mikhail Shalamov.

The flop came K♥8♣4♦ and action checked to Lyubovetskiy who bet 110,000. Shalamov then raised to 360,000, Kamphues folded, while Lyubovetskiy also gave up his hand as Shalamov took the pot.

A few hands later, Lyubovetskiy raised to 120,000 under the gun and Shalamov three-bet to 360,000 in the cutoff. Lyubovetskiy came back with a four-bet to 770,000 and Shalamov folded.

"Diamonds are good for you, let's see how they are for him," Mikhail Shalamov told Joyce.

"Shh," Joyce replied as the flop came 10♦8♠6♦, giving Kraous a flush draw. "Never easy," Joyce added.

The 4♣ turn was safe for Joyce and left Kraous a card away from elimination, but he caught the K♦ on the river to crack Joyce's aces and double up, leaving Joyce with just one big blind.
