Ignacz Doubles Up with Rivered Straight

Nivel 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Bela Ignacz
Bela Ignacz

Bela Ignacz, sitting in early position, limped into the pot, only to face a raise from Krzysztof Krawczyk in the hijack to 2,800. Damian Rapanowicz in the big blind called, as did Ignacz.

The flop came JQJ, and all three players checked.

On the 8 turn, both Rapanowicz and Ignacz checked, prompting Krawczyk to bet 2,100. Ignacz, with just 8,700 behind, was the only caller.

When the J river hit, Ignacz checked again and folded to Krawczyk’s 6,000 bet.

In the very next hand, Ignacz, now under the gun, pushed all in. Christian Weiser, with nearly double Ignacz’s stack, shoved all in as well. The showdown revealed:

Bela Ignacz: A10All in
Christian Weiser: AK

Weiser’s lead looked promising after the J2K flop and 8 turn, and Ignacz stood up, seemingly preparing to say his goodbyes. But fate had other plans. The river brought the Q, giving Ignacz a straight and the much-needed double-up, while Weiser was left with only crumbs.
