With late registration closed, Day 1a of the Eureka High Roller attracted 1,177 entries. The tournament director has just announced that the flight will play down to 177 players, who will all make Day 2 and bag in the money.

Sitbon Shoves the Turn

Ryoji Kusumoto raised in early position to 4,000, Julien Sitbon in middle position called and the big blind Karim Maekelberg also called.

Action checked to Kusumoto who continued betting on 84K for 4,000, Sitbon called and Maekelberg folded.

With around 24,000 in the pot, Kusumoto fired out another bet of 18,000 when the Q fell on the turn, but was met by a shove from Sitbon for 47,500. Kusumoto quickly tapped the table and announced "nice hand" before mucking his cards.

Action checked to Angelescu who continued for 5,000 on AJ7 and got two calls. All players checked when the 4 hit the turn.

Berthomet decided to lead when the 2 fell on the river and Angelescu quickly folded. Johnson called after a short period and got shown A9 then mucked his hand.
