Ladies Help Newey to Double Up

Nivel 26 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Paul Newey
Paul Newey

Aliaksandr Hirs made it 120,000 to go from under the gun and Paul Newey shoved from the cutoff for 475,000. When it got back to Hirs, he thought for some time before he flicked in the call.

Paul Newey: QQ All in
Aliaksandr Hirs: A7

Newey was well ahead with his queens and extended his lead on the Q9J flop as he made top set. An 8 on the turn meant Hirs could only chop the pot with a river ten, but the A wasn't what he needed, and Newey doubled up.

Shushan Tank-Folds the River After Lupuleac Shoves

Nivel 26 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Yaniv Shushan made it 150,000 to go from under the gun and Alexandru Lupuleac called from the big blind.

They went to a flop of 2Q5 where both checked to see the J drop on the turn, where Lupuleac bet 190,000, and Shushan called.

A 5 paired the board on the river and Lupuleac gathered all of his chips, then shoved for 570,000. Shushan immediately asked for a count and then went into deep thought for quite some time. For one player, it was too much time as he called the clock, which put Shushan on a 30-second countdown. With 5 seconds to spare. Shushan elected to fold.

"I think you had pocket sevens at best," said Lupuleac.

"Pocket tens," replied Shushan. "The jack either saved you or it saved me,".

Sposato Dispatches Zoufri

Nivel 25 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Abdelhakim Zoufri
Abdelhakim Zoufri

Abdelhakim Zoufri had shoved from the hijack for around 400,000 and was snapped off by Gaspare Sposato in the big blind.

Abdelhakim Zoufri: K9 All in
Gaspare Sposato: JJ

Zoufri was way behind, but did pick up a few extra outs on the QA9 flop as he paired his nine. An A on the turn was no help, and neither was the 3 on the river, which meant Zoufri was out in 30th.

Kianoosh Matin had his reamining 350,000 in the middle prelflop and was put at risk by Georgios Skarparis.

Kianoosh Matin: KJ All in
Georgios Skarparis: AK

Matin had run into the Big Slick of the overnight chip leader, but did pick up some outs on the 8Q10 flop with an open-ender. However, neither the 4 turn nor 7 river could deliver the outs he needed, and he was eliminated.

Darius Neagoe also found himself on the rail shortly before Matin did.

Seyedahmad Comes Out of the Blocks Firing

Nivel 25 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Haghgou Seyedahmad has had a blistering start to Day 3 and already tripled his starting stack.

In the latest hand, Kianoosh Matin raised from middle position and Seyedahmad called on the button.

On the 410A flop, Matin fired a continuation-bet of 100,000, which Seyedahmad quickly called.

Both the 7 turn and 7 river were checked to showdown where Matin tabled a pair of tens with 109, but Seyedahmad had the winner after he paired his ace holding AJ.

"He's five for five today!" said Georgios Skarparis.
