NAPT Kicks Off with $550 Mystery Bounty at Resorts World Las Vegas as Day 1b Begins

The second annual PokerStars North American Poker Tour (NAPT) has officially begun at Resorts World Las Vegas. The series opens with the exciting $550 Mystery Bounty event. The first of five starting flights launched at 12:00 p.m. local time, while the second, Day 1b, is set to start at 5:00 p.m. local time.

PokerNews will be covering all the Day 1 flights, including the earlier Day 1a and Day 1b, as well as the other three flights on November 2 and November 3.

Players will start the tournament with 30,000 in chips and blind levels of 100/200/200. Blinds will increase every 30 minutes, with 20-minute breaks at intervals and a 75-minute dinner break after Level 10, when registration will close.

Each flight will play down to 15% of the field, with those players cashing as they advance to Day 2, when bounties are introduced.

Last year's $1,100 NLH Mystery Bounty concluded the series, attracting 265 players. Canada's Timothy Rutherford took home the spade trophy and $24,650.

A player under the gun raised to 2,400 and was called by Pablo Menezes in the hijack. Then Levar Riley on the button three-bet to 19,800, leaving just 2,400 behind. The blinds and the under the gun player folded, before Menezes four-bet to put Riley all in, which he quickly called.

Riley had Menezes dominated and once the board ran out 5101084 the ace-king of Riley was still best to secure the double up.

The flop came Q8J and Siegel checked to Zhang who bet out 4,500. Siegel then raised to 13,600, which Zhang called.

After the 8 on the turn Siegel announced all in for Zhang's stack of 30,700, which Zhang quickly called.

Siegel tried to trap with his pocket kings but ran into the aces of Zhang. The river was the 5 and the pocket aces of Zhang were still best to give him the double up.

Both players checked after the 7A7 flop, which brought the 2 on the turn. Halverson checked to Georgopoulos who bet out 12,000 which got a quick fold from Halverson.

Liscano was ahead with the bigger ace, but Georgopoulos could hit a ten or heart to knockout Liscano. But the river was the 9 and Liscano secured the triple up.
