The final flight of the RGPS $600 Jamul Main Event drew out 99 players to bring the total number of entries for the main event up to 407. It saw the overall tournament prize pool smashed as $211,640 was collected for the tournament to pay out tomorrow.

Leading the way is a man who has seen quite a bit of success this week here at Jamul. Francisco Anzar sits with the sizable bag of 833,000. Anzar began his week by cashing in the Ambassadors Bounty, he then followed it up by winning his first RGPS ring in the Deepstack Event, taking home a career best score of $6,891. He now sits with a commanding lead over the entire tournament and will be looking for another career high score here tomorrow.

Not all found success here today. Many of the regulars like Zackery Rodriguez, Conrad Simpson, and two-time RGPS Jamul Main Event Champion Derrick Yamada all found themselves going to the exit. Their success in RGPS Main Events will have to come from other stops around the country.

The flight ended in Level 16 so that means that play will revert to the first flight’s end time. Play ended with 16:45 left in Level 15 in Day 1A, with blind at 4,000/8,000, with a 8,000 big blind ante.

On Wednesday, the RunGood Poker Series held its second biggest tournament of the stop, materializing into Event #4: $250 Deepstack. A staple of any RunGood stop, this tournament held the second biggest prize pool guarantee, worth $25k.

A total of 186 entrants came out over the course of the first two flights, to beat the guarantee and leave the prize pool sitting at $37,200. Only 24 players saw any piece of that prize pool.

It was a five-way deal that would see Francisco Anzar take hom his first ring and a career best score of $6,891. Anzar had collected his first RG cash earlier this week, and has now quadrupled his life-time earnings while adding a piece of jewelry to his collection.
