With the completed board showing 8♥8♣3♥Q♦K♣, Howard Brooks made it 3,600 to go. He was reluctantly called by his table neighbour and Brooks revealed the A♦K♦ as the winning hand to get back to six figures.

Aidan Jacobs bet the Q♣8♥2♠7♠ turn for 7,000 and Muaaz Gani reluctantly folded. Gani was shortly after eliminated by Colin Horgan, who had sat down for the first hand in the big blind to send the Gani to the rail.
Ashley Hira and Mariette Language joined the rail while Marko Nortje avoided the same fate for now. In a multi-way pot to the 9♦8♥2♦ flop, Nortje jammed for 18,500 in the small blind. Leonard Dormehl, Didier Mery and Rudolf Fourie all folded and Nortje flashed the 6♦3♦ after Fourie had declared he can't call with six-high.
On a three-way flop of Q♦8♥3♥, Ashley Hira in the small blind was the only one to check-call a bet of 2,000 by Jamie McCarthy on the button while Bradley Moore folded. Hira check-called for another 6,000 on the 9♠ turn and they checked the 8♠ river.
Hira tabled the 6♥6♦ but was beaten by Q♣J♦.
"I didn't think you had a queen," he said and then slammed down a shot that Rudolf Fourie had ordered.
One table later, Hira raised the button to get called twice. Gilbert Tin Fook bet the K♥10♣3♣ flop for 2,000 and Hira called, jokingly declaring "I give it to you Gilbert".
They checked the 9♥ turn and 10♠ river and Hira won the pot with J♥9♠, as Tin Fook had missed the flush draw with Q♣5♣.
There was a spectacular showdown unfolding over on table 12 when three flushes collided, and apparently Devid Berlin had also folded what would have been a flush as well.
On a flop of J♣8♣2♣ with 13,000 in the middle, the chips went in with Stephen Courtney and Bernard Gossard at risk against Ryan Brauer.

The 3♦ turn and 2♠ river were more or less a formality as Courtney tripled up, while Gossard doubled the remainder of his short stack behind against Brauer.
On the Q♣J♦7♥4♣ turn, Leonard Dormehl bet 3,000 and Nadav Mazor called. "Don't slow play, now you let me win," Rudolf Fourie said as he over-called, and so did Lee Thaver in the small blind. They checked the K♥ river and Thaver showed the K♦J♣ to win the pot.
On a flop of K♦9♦8♦ with only a few of the players at the table back in their seats, Devid Berlin bet 3,500 when checked to. Maxwell Young check-raised to 8,000 and Berlin called. They checked the 7s] turn and Young bet the 2♠ river for 11,000.
Berlin eventually called and won the pot with K♣6♦, as Young had bluffed the Q♥J♠ for a missed gutshot.
