Donovan Relents to Geidans' Flop Shove

Nivel 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Fabian Donovan had raised to 1,200 from under the gun and Farhad Akbari called from a few seats down. Vilnis Geidans then three-bet to 4,500 from the cutoff and Donovan four-bet to 12,000. Akbari got out of the way, and Geidans called.

They went to a flop of 793 where Donovan made a continuation-bet of 7,500, and Geidans shoved. Donovan had just under 20,000 remaining in his stack and after thinking it over, he opted to preserve them and folded.

Abalasei Survives With an Unlikely Chop

Nivel 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

The action was picked up with Anthony Field having 1,600 chips in front of him preflop from middle position, and Abraham Gozum called in the hijack. Alexandru-Andrei Abalasei then three-bet the cutoff to 3,600, which both Field and Gozum called.

They went to a flop of 362 where it checked to Abalasei, who fired 4,000. Field folded, and Gozum called.

On the 5 turn, Gozum checked and Abalasei bet 10,000. Gozum shoved for around 20,000, and Abalasei reluctantly tossed in the call.

Abraham Gozum: 44 All in
Alexandru-Andrei Abalasei: QQ

Abalasei was drawing slim to a chop as Gozum had turned a straight, but sometimes in poker, it's only a slim chance that you need as the 4 rolled off on the river, which put a straight on board.

Abalasei was pleased to get his chips back, Gozum...probably not so much.

Too Many Outs For Higgins as Tran Wins at Showdown

Nivel 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Danh Cong Tran opened from early position and Simon Higgins three-bet to 2,800 from middle position. When it got back to Tran, he called.

They both saw a flop of JK2 where Tran check-called a bet of 3,800 from Higgins to see the K turn, where Tran went into check-call mode again after Higgins fired 7,000.

When the 5 landed on the river, both players checked it down and Tran's flopped pair of jacks with AJ was good as Higgins mucked.

"Too many outs," said Higgins as the pot was being pushed in his opponent's direction.

Downdall Misses Straight Draw, Geidans' Tens Are Good

Nivel 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

With around 8,000 chips already in the middle on a flop of 457, Vilnis Geidans fired 3,200 from the big blind, and only Max Downdall called on the button.

On the Q turn, Geidans bet 4,000, which Downdall called to see the 4 river, which was checked to showdown.

Geidans showed 1010 for a pair of tens, which beat the 66 of Downdall, who missed a flopped open-ended straight draw.

Trattou Among Chip Leaders Early

Nivel 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

There were around 12,000 chips in the middle on a board of 9524 when Tarajmeer Kakar checked it over to Mario Trattou, who fired 4,000. Kakar called.

A K on the river completed the backdoor flush draw, and both players quickly checked it down where Trattou showed JJ, and Kakar mucked his hand.

It's been a good opening shift for Trattou, who has built a stack of around 90,000 as the first break approaches.
