After a heads-up battle that lasted just over an hour, Alexandre Le Vaillant emerged victorious in the 2023 Unibet DeepStack Open Marrakech Main Event. Le Vaillant defeated Tristan Forge in an exciting heads-up battle that saw the chip lead exchange several times before Le Vaillant seized the victory to collect the first-place prize of 625,000 Moroccan Dirhams (€57,926).
Le Vaillant began the day as the chip leader and was firmly in the driver's seat for the early stages of the day as the field dwindled from 16 players down to the nine-handed final table. Le Vaillant did fall to the middle of the pack a few times during the final table but always managed to surge back up to the top of the chip counts each time. The French Pro moved over $500,000 in career tournament earnings, with this win being his second-biggest career cash.

Action was picked up four-ways on the flop with around 2,500 in the middle in a pot between "Jeje-Lud" in the small blind, the hijack, "Reda" in the cutoff, and "Nick C" on the button.
With the board reading, 10♣9♠4♦, the action checked to Reda who bet 1,400. Nick C and Jeje-Lud called.
Three ways to the 3♦ turn, Reda bet 2,300 and both players called.
The A♥ river quickly checked through and Jeje-Lud tabled A♣9♣ from the small blind to drag a sizeable pot early in the day.

The action was picked up on the flop with 10,000 in the middle already in a blind-on-blind battle between Mounire Bengaoui from the small blind and Laurent Michot from the big blind.
The K♥9♥4♥ flop checked through the the 2♣ turn which saw Bengaoui lead for 6,500 and Michot put in the call.
On the 3♦ river, Bengaoui cut out a bet of 7,100. Michot was uncomfortable with the spot but his suspicions ultimately led him to make the call.
Mounire Bengaoui: Q♣J♦
Laurent Michot: A♦10♥
Bengaoui was bluffing with a missed straight draw while Michot made the correct call with just ace-high to scoop a pot worth almost 100 big blinds.
