Tayeb Douakha moved all in for 7,700 from under the gun and Ahmet Canatan, in the big blind, made the call.
Tayeb Douakha: A♣A♦
Ahmet Canatan: J♠8♠
Canatan was going to need some help to send Douakha to the rail, and that's exactly what the 3♠7♠9♦ provided him. However, the 3♦ turn and 2♥ river denied Canatan any of his straight and flush outs, ensuring Douakha's double.
The pot stood at 22,600 with two players looking at a board of A♣7♠5♠A♥.
Thomas Sacquet, in the hijack, checked the action to Francois Gozzelino, in the cutoff. Gozzelino bet out 9,500 and Sacquet made the call.
The 3♦ river prompted Sacquet to play in flow and Gozzelino continued for 29,000. Sacquet tapped the table twice and surrendered his holding and the pot.
Last year in Bratislava, Martin Bartos bested a huge field of 1,577 entrants to take home the trophy, title and €100,000.
Over a total of five starting flights, only 271 players were lucky enough to return to the tournament floor for Day 2. After an additional 18 levels of play, just 13 remained to battle it out on the felt on the final day. Despite such fierce competition, it was Bartos who took pole position as the dust settled.
Having drawn one of the toughest final tables in WPO Main Event History, Bartos was quick to commend some of the seasoned opponents he faced: “Because the final table, it was definitely tough. Very good players, very good players. I think for a €500 tournament, [there were] very, very good players. In Slovakia, the best €500 Final Table for sure. Too many celebrities! It was perfect”.

"I have an amazing run. Earlier, I had three times ace-king in a row", Hayg Badem said while calling from the cutoff after Jimmy Fernandes in the hijack opened to 1,100.
Both players checked the Q♣7♠8♥ flop, but on the 9♣ turn, Fernandes bet 2,400. Badem raised to 6,000 and Fernandes called to find the A♦ river where he checked.
Badem asked for 4,500 and Fernandes snap-called. But he couldn't do much against Badem's straight with J♣10♣. "I had a blocker, that's why I called" Fernandes said while revealing the 10♠.
The pot stood at approximately 23,000 with two players looking at a full board of 8♦9♦A♣4♣8♣.
Nicolo Sapiolo, in the small blind, bet out 15,000. Thibaut Thevenet, in the cutoff, went deep into the tank.
Thevenet thought for some minutes before deciding to call. Sapiolo rolled over 4♠4♦ for a turned set of fours; more than good enough to secure this pot.
