Waikiat Lee raised it up to 50,000 from the cutoff and Chris Brewer defended from the big blind. The flop came J♣8♣4♠ and both players checked to the 5♦ on the turn.
Brewer led out with a bet of 105,000 and Lee called to see the 7♣ on the river. Brewer ripped all in as the bigger stack, putting Lee to the test for his remaining 580,000 chips. Lee went into the tank for nearly five minutes while Brewer remained motionless. Eventually, Lee made the call and Brewer showed Q♣10♣ for a flush to eliminate Lee.
Jakub Michalak opened in the cutoff and Alejandro Gonzalez called on the button before Jamie Flynn three-bet jammed in the small blind. Michalak re-shoved and Gonzalez got out of the way.
Jamie Flynn: A♠Q♦
Jakub Michalak: A♦K♣
Flynn was dominated and couldn't pull ahead as the board ran out 4♦K♥5♦2♣4♥ to mark his elimination.
Jonathan Jaffe opened 25,000 under the gun and Anthony Zinno jammed for 170,000 from a couple of spots to his left. Erik Seidel cold called in the big blind, and Jaffe mucked his hand.
Anthony Zinno: J♥9♥
Erik Seidel: A♦A♠
The K♥K♠5♠ flop left Zinno needing runner-runner and the 2♠ turn sealed his fate as he tapped the table and wished the players good luck. The dealer completed the board with the A♥ river, improving Seidel to a full house.
Alessio La Francesca opened to 25,000 in middle position and Manuel Fischer called in the hijack. Erik Seidel tossed in a call on the button, as did Jonathan Jaffe in the small blind.
Anatoly Zlotnikov took some time in the big blind before announcing all in. Action quickly folded back to Jaffe, who asked for a count. The dealer stacked up 970,000 chips, and Jaffe took a moment before sticking in the call.
Anatoly Zlotnikov: 3♥3♦
Jonathan Jaffe: 8♣8♥
Jaffe's pocket eights were well ahead and held through the J♦10♥K♠A♠7♣ runout to send Zlotnikov to the rail.
In a heads-up pot on a board of 10♠J♣A♦3♦4♦, Quan Zhou checked and Jean-Noel Thorel bet 75,000 with around 210,000 already in the pot.
Zhou responded by check-raising all in and was met with a snap-call from Thorel. Zhou could only show 9♥8♥ for a stone buff as Thorel tabled A♣10♣ to win the pot with aces-up.
