Kim Picks Up a Monster to Double

Nivel 23 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Derric Haynie raised to 600,000 in early position before Namhyung Kim moved all in for 2,400,000 in the cutoff.

"Good luck," Haynie told Kim as he quickly called once action folded back to him.

Namhyung Kim: AA All in
Derric Haynie: AK

Haynie let out a loud groan when Kim turned over his aces. Haynie made a pair on the KJ2 flop, but he improved no further on the 6 turn nor 4 river and Kim doubled up.

"The right stack to do it against," tablemate Danny Tang consoled Haynie.

"You're right. I lost the minimum," Haynie replied.

Nivel 23 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Tom-Aksel Bedell opened 700,000 in early position and Jason Velasco defended the big blind.

Both players checked it down on the 533K8 runout and Velasco tabled A6 before Bedell showed AQ to drag the pot with the better kicker on ace-high.

Selouan Misses the Pay Jump

Nivel 23 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Action has been moving along at a snail's pace with a $24,000 pay jump just a couple of eliminations away. Rodrigo Selouan was one of those on the short stack and finally ripped all in for 2,300,000 in early position. Yang Wang reraised the minimum from the hijack and the rest of the table folded.

Rodrigo Selouan: AQAll in
Yang Wang: AK

Wang was in a dominating position and the flop of 987 left it that way. The 4 on the turn gave Selouan a flush draw but the 2 on the river bricked out, eliminating Selouan before the pay jump.

Eibinger Gets Some Back From Jones

Nivel 23 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Heads-up on a flop of AQ7, Matthias Eibinger bet 400,000 from early position and Ben Jones called in the big blind.

Eibinger bet another 1,200,000 on the 8 turn and Jones again called. Both players then checked down the 9 river.

Jones showed Q10 for a pair of queens, but Eibinger had AJ and took the pot with a pair of aces.

Good Time for Trips

Nivel 23 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Ben Jones opened 1,900,000 on the button, leaving just 25,000 behind and Matthias Eibinger made the call from the big blind.

When the AA4 flop hit the felt, Eibinger dropped a bet across the line and Jones went into the tank as he stared at the board for the pay jump. After about 25 seconds, he dropped his last chip across the line to make the call.

Ben Jones: A9 All in
Matthias Eibinger: K8

Jones flopped trip aces, leaving Eibinger drawing thin and the board completed with the Q turn, and the J river.

Cimbolas Strikes with Aces

Nivel 23 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Picking up the action on the turn with the board reading J54J, Matas Cimbolas made a bet of 525,000 in the cutoff. Justin Carey check-called from middle position and the 3 landed on the river.

Carey checked again and Cimbolas put together a bet of 2,000,000. Carey flicked in a call and Cimbolas turned over AA. Carey was unable to beat it and Cimbolas dragged in a pot.

Team Unlucky: Moneymaker Goes Runner-Runner to Bust Glantz

Nivel 23 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Chris Moneymaker
Chris Moneymaker

Chris Moneymaker opened to 600,000 in middle position and Matt Glantz three-bet jammed a stack of 1,950,000 from the small blind. Moneymaker called.

Matt Glantz: 1010 All in
Chris Moneymaker: 98

Glantz was in great shape with an overpair to Moneymaker's undercards, but the flop of 793 gave Moneymaker some hope. The 6 turn gave Moneymaker an open-ended straight draw and the 10 river gave Glantz a meaningless set as Moneymaker made the straight.

Glantz is a member of Team Lucky, pulled a million-dollar bounty at the 2022 WSOP and finished fourth in last year's Paradise Main Event for $685,000. Unfortunately, his luck has run out in the Super Main Event.

Big Raise from Eibinger

Nivel 23 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Two players saw the K629 turn and Rodrigo Selouan led for 850,000 into the pot of about 3,400,000. Matthias Eibinger went into the tank, using exactly 29 seconds before sliding a raise of 5,000,000 across the line. Selouan took a few moments before deciding not to put his tournament life on the life.
