Jeffrey Papola Eliminated in 3rd Place ($214,410)
WOW! Just. Wow.
Nobody would have thought it happened like this, but we are now heads-up between Eddie Blumenthal and Geffrey Klein. That's right, ladies and gents - the other Jeffrey, Jeffrey Papola (the one with the WSOP bracelet already), has busted in third place!
Here's how it went down: Klein folded on the button and Papola raised to 110,000 from the small blind. Blumenthal called from the big blind and so off they went to the flop of .
Papola opened for 140,000. Blumenthal paused, then pushed out a raise worth 320,000. Papola returned fire with a three-bet of 565,000 and Blumenthal snap-shoved, but Papola beat him into the pot.

Blumenthal's supporters leaned in as far as they could, cheering their man on. "Come on Eddie baby, diamond one time!" one railbird shouted.
River:
BOOOOOOOOOM! There was the one time that Blumenthal needed! His supporters went ballistic, hugging, high-fiving and fist-bumping him from all over the place while a dejected Papola pushed through the crowd to make his way to the cage.
It was yet another gallant run by Papola and while he's not picking up his second bracelet this time around, we are sure to see him back again in future six-handed events. The King of Six Max is dead. Long live the King.
