Time for a Shootout!
Welcome back to the Rio! Today we have one of the most exciting events of the year, Event #13: $1500 No-Limit Holdem Shootout.
Last year, Steven Kelly outlasted a whopping field of 1397 players to take home the first prize and a total of $381,922. Annette Obrestad and JC Tran both made it to the final day last year, but fell just short of the final table.
For those that are unfamiliar with how a shootout works, its essentially a tournament of sit n gos. Today there will be 10 players at each table, and the goal is to win your table and move on to tomorrow. If you do that, you will already be in the money! It should be an action packed day, so be sure to stay tuned with Pokernews for up to the minute coverage all day!
