Bardah's Gamble Pays Off

We weren't able to catch all the action, but when we got to Table 359 Ronnie Bardah was all-in and had 2 callers.

The board read {10-Spades} {4-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds}. Bardah's opponent flipped over {K-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} for what he hoped was the winning hand, unfortunately for him it wasn't. Bardah had {Q-Spades} {9-Spades} and a winning straight.

Another One for JJProdigy

Joshua "JJProdigy" Field raised from middle position and found a caller in the big blind. After his opponent checked the {J-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop, Fields bet and then called the big blind's check-raise. The big blind then proceeded to check-call the {K-Clubs} turn and {2-Clubs} river, prompting Field to show {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}.

The big blind quickly mucked as Field raked in the pot.

Hard to Fold when you have the Chip Lead

Tobin Banks
Tobin Banks

After seeing almost all his chips dwindle Tobin Banks had one bet left after he raised pre-flop. Dmitry Gromov appeased Banks, and put a bet out to force him all in. Banks obliged.

Dmitry Gromov {J-Hearts} {6-Spades}
Tobin Banks {8-Spades} {10-Diamonds}

The board came {4-Spades} {A-Spades} {K-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} {2-Hearts} and Banks was eliminated.

One Half of the Brothers Suelflow Gone

If you've taken a look at our chip counts, you may have noticed two gentlemen who share the last name of Suelflow. One is named Matt, while the other is Marcus, and yes, they are brothers. While both were going deep in this limit event and stood a chance of cashing, that hope was dashed with the recent elimination of Marcus.

It began when Marcus raised from early position and then called a reraise from the player in the cutoff. When the flop fell {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}, Marcus checked, the cutoff bet, and Marcus woke up with a check-raise. The cutoff called and the duo watched the {A-Diamonds} hit the turn. Marcus bet, the cutoff raised, and Marcus called off his remaining stack.

Cutoff: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Marcus: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

It was bad news for Marcus, who needed a nine on the river to stay alive. With his brother sweating the action, the {4-Spades} blanked on the river to send Marcus Suelflow to the rail.

Can’t Bust ‘Em All

The action was three handed on a {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{10-Clubs} board and the small blind led out. Jason Mercier called from the cutoff and the button got out of the way. On the {Q-Diamonds} river, the small blind moved all in and Mercier made the call. The small blind showed {K-}{K-} which was good as Mercier mucked and expressed his frustration with limit hold’em.

Mercier Busts One

Jason Mercier raised from middle position and the small blind called all in. Mercier showed {Q-}{9-} and had his opponent’s {9-}{2-} dominated. The board provided no help for the small blind as it ran out {J-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Spades} and the player hit the rail while Mercier chipped up.

Buchanan Betting, Calling, and Losing

Shawn Buchanan was not going to let anyone see a flop for free and he bet out on the button. He found one caller in early position.

A flop of {K-Hearts} {2-Spades} {K-Clubs} sprang out on the table, and it was Buchanan again who fired out, only to be called by his opponent. The turn brought the {9-Diamonds} and a lot of action.

After four raises from each player we finally got to see the {Q-Diamonds} grace the river. A bet from Buchanan's opponent was the only wager on the river. Both players then flipped their cards.

Shawn Buchanan {A-} {K-}
Opponent {9-} {9-}

Racener Doubles with Big Slick

On a flop of {Q-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, a late-position player bet only to have last year's WSOP Main Event runner-up John Racener raise from the button. A call ensued, followed by the {5-Clubs} on the turn. It went check, bet, raise, and call all in, with Racener being the one at risk.

Racener: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Opponent: {A-Hearts}{7-Spades}

Racener just needed to dodge a seven on the river to double, which is exactly what he did as the {3-Spades} peeled off.

Deeb Out

Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

Like Shaun Deeb tweeted, we too are in shock that he is out already after he had a decent stack earlier. But guess that’s what happens when according to him "got 2 outed 2 hands missed draws vs ace high then my 99 lost to 95s but beat a10 and aq".
