Veldhuis Loses Two Straight Pots, Threatens to Drive Car Into River

Nivel 8 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

With the board reading {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{4-Clubs}, Lex Veldhuis and another opponent checked to Shannon Shorr who bet. Only Veldhuis called. The turn was the {7-Diamonds}, Veldhuis check-called another bet, and the river was the {9-Diamonds}. Veldhuis check-called one more bet from Shorr, and tabled {a-}{j-}. Shorr showed {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades} for trip kings however, and raked in the pot.

The very next hand, Veldhuis and an opponent were heads up with the board reading {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{j-Spades}. Veldhuis bet, his opponent put in two bets, Veldhuis put in three, and his opponent called all in for less. Veldhuis showed {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for a pair of aces, but his opponent had better - {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}.

"I'm going to come back short tomorrow," Veldhuis said. "And I'm going to drive my car into a f***cking river."
