Froehlich Plays it Slow, Takes the Pot

Eric Froehlich

Timoshenko raised to 33,000 on the button and Froehlich called, bringing a flop of {3-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{10-Spades}. E-Fro checked to Timoshenko, who fired 36,000 into the middle. After Froehlich made the call, the {Q-Clubs} fell on the turn and both players checked. The {5-Clubs} on the river prompted a check from E-Fro and Timoshenko tapped the table as well. E-Fro's {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} proved to be good enough and he dragged the smallish pot.

Oops!

Nivel 3 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

The blinds never moved to 8,000/16,000, and we're already 17 minutes into the level. The slip has finally been noticed. We'll play three quick minutes of 8/16, and then we're moving right to 10,000/20,000.

Yev Finds Some Value

Nivel 2 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Yevgeniy Timoshenko raised to 27,000, and Eric Froehlich called to see a {K-Spades} {7-Spades} {J-Clubs} flop. It went check-check, and the {K-Hearts} dropped on fourth street. Froehlich checked again, and Timoshenko made a delayed continuation bet of 24,000. Froehlich flicked the calling chip from his stack and into the pot, and the {4-Diamonds} filled out the board on the river. After one last Froehlich check, Timoshenko made one last bet -- 54,000 this time. Froehlich called, and we'd never get to see his hand.

Timoshenko turned over {A-Hearts} {7-Clubs} for kings up, and that was good.

Timoshenko Tries In Vain to Rebound

Nivel 2 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

After the big loss in the last hand Timoshenko made it 27,000 to go preflop and Froehlich called, bringing a flop of {9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. After a check by Froehlich, Timoshenko fired 30,000 into the pot and again E-Fro came along. The turn card was the {3-Diamonds} and Timoshenko continued his line, firing 70,000 into the middle after Froehlcih tapped the table. The dealer peeled the {10-Diamonds} on the river and both players checked it down. E-Fro flipped up his {9-Clubs}{8-Spades} and scooped a fairly decent pot.

Froehlich Finds His Double!

Nivel 2 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Eric Froehlich raised to 26,000, and Yevgeniy Timoshenko reraised to 72,000. Froehlich called, and the {7-Hearts} {K-Clubs} {6-Spades} flop drew a 60,000-chip continuation bet from Timoshenko. Froehlich took pause before announcing an all in for 428,000, and Timoshenko asked for the count. He's spend a couple minutes considering before making the call, and Froehlich was at risk for his first bullet. He was essentially flipping a coin.

Showdown
Timoshenko: {A-Clubs} {7-Diamonds}
Froehlich: {8-Clubs} {9-Hearts}

Fröhlich was drawing, but his overcards were live, too. He'd need a five, eight, nine, or ten to win the pot.

Turn: {10-Clubs}

That'll do it. Timoshenko was drawing dead, and Froelich has doubled up in a big way. The meaningless {5-Spades} rivered, and Timoshenko counted out his debt and paid it off.

The "Let's go, E-Fro" chants rang out from the sparsely populated arena as Froehlich takes the lead in the match.

Timoshenko Shoves and Takes the Pot

Nivel 2 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Timoshenko made it 25,000 to go before the flop and E-Fro three-bet to 87,000. Timoshenko stared his man down before asking E-Fro for a chip count. After continuing with his steely gaze, Timoshenko declared himself all-in and Froehlich looked skyward before folding his cards. Timoshenko appears to have drawn a bead on E-Fro's preflop play and has taken control of the match.
