Busquet Busts and Timoshenko Takes the Match

Nivel 11 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

After losing a major pot, Olivier Busquet appeared to grow slightly frustrated and Yevgeniy Timoshenko may have picked up on those vibes, because after Busquet shoved all-in preflop, Timoshenko called him down with {Q-Clubs}{9-Spades}. Busquet showed his {J-Spades}{9-Clubs} and needed help to survive. The board ran out {3-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Spades} and the heads-up specialist was eliminated. Timoshenko claims a spot in the final eight and earns at least $138,852 for his efforts.

Busquet's Tens Betrayed

Nivel 11 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Yevgeniy Timoshenko has yet to use his add-ons, and he got about 250,000 into the middle with {6-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds}. Olivier Busquet made the call with {10-} {10-}, and he was looking to force his opponent to dip into his second-chance chips.

The {4-Spades} {A-Hearts} {4-Clubs} flop was just what Timoshenko was looking for, however, and the turn {5-Spades} and river {9-Hearts} means he'll double up with bullets to spare. Busquet has his full 600,000 on the line, and that pot knocks him back to about 370,000, giving the other 830,000 to "JovialGent".

Durrrr Doubles Through Hansen

Nivel 11 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

After Gus Hansen limped in, Tom Dwan shoved his entire stack into the middle and Hansen went into the tank. After a few minutes of deliberation, Hansen decided to call and told Dwan "I know it's the second best hand, but..." before showing his {10-Spades}{9-Spades}. Durrrr showed the {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and the players saw a flop of {6-Hearts}{A-Spades}{K-Clubs}, which left Hansen trailing badly. The {A-Clubs} on the turn assured Dwan of a double up and a meaningless {9-Diamonds} fell on the river. Dwan now has nearly 600,000 on the table, but Hansen still has both 200,000 add-ons at his disposal.

Paredes Knocks Out Kojo

Nivel 11 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Kunimaro Kojo called a preflop min-raise from David Paredes to see the flop fall {2-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds}. Kojo checked, Paredes bet 50,000 and Kojo raised to 125,000. Paredes moved all in over the top to put Kojo's last 388,000 at stake. Paredes held {K-Clubs} {7-Clubs} and Kojo had {9-Hearts} {6-Spades}.

The turn and river came {5-Hearts} {4-Clubs} and Kojo was eliminated from the tournament.

Back From Break and the Action Begins

Nivel 11 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

In the first hand after returning from break, a raising war developed between Anthony Guetti and Richard Lyndaker and the players quickly had all the chips in the middle. Guetti was unhappy to be called and glumly showed his {K-Hearts}{7-Spades}, but found himself ahead of Lyndaker's {J-Spades}{10-Spades}. A flop of {3-Spades}{A-Clubs}{J-Hearts} was good for Lyndaker, pairing his hand and pushing him into the lead. The {Q-Clubs} on the turn gave both players gutshot straight draws, but a {6-Diamonds} on the river sealed the hand for Lyndaker.
