Williams Defeats Greenstein

Nivel 7 : 400/800, 100 ante
Barry Greenstein
Barry Greenstein

We caught up with the action as the cards were being turned over for a preflop all in with Barry Greenstein's tournament life on the line.

Greenstein: {A-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Williams: {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The flop brought good news for Greenstein, falling {2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}. However, as quickly as joy was brought to Greenstein, it was taken away just as quick when Williams paired up with the {10-Spades} falling on the turn. The river's {A-Hearts} brought them both two pair, with Williams' aces and tens taking the cake.

Jeff Williams will advance to the next round.

Seidel Stacking Chips Heads Up

Nivel 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Erik Seidel, heads up at his first round table, raised the action to 1,800 preflop. His opponent made the call and the two saw a flop of {7-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{A-Clubs}. His opponent checked and Seidel continued out with 2,200. The call was made and the turn came {5-Diamonds}. Once again the opponent check-called, only this time the bet was 5,000. The {8-Hearts} fell on the river and once again there was a check to Seidel, who came out with 10,000. His opponent folded and Seidel scooped the pot, increasing his chip lead to around 110,000 in chips.

Haxton Makes a Move

Nivel 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

The player in the cutoff opened for 1,600 and the small blind re-raised to 4,300. Isaac Haxton, who was in the big blind, thought it over and then pushed his remaining 20,000 into the middle. Both players folded.

Following the hand, Haxton is just under 27,000.

Max Lykov (from earlier in the WSOP)

Maxim Lykov is the next player to progress through to the second round.

His opponent pushed holding {Q-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and Lykov called holding {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}.

The board ran out {J-Clubs}{A-Spades}{6-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} to see Lykov join fellow Team PokerStars Pro JP Kelly in the money.
