The Smirnov Show
First Tom McCormick raised from the hijack and Mikhail Smirnov three-bet from the cutoff. Eric Baldwin made it four bets from the small blind and the other two players called. On the 
flop, Baldwin check-called Smirnov as McCormick folded and stormed off to hallway. Baldwin check-called again when the 
hit the turn and both players checked the 
on the river. Baldwin showed 
for ace-high while Smirnov’s 
was good for the pot.
Then the next hand, Maya Geller raised from middle position and Smirnov three-bet again as the next to act. Geller made the call and check-called on the 
flop but check-folded on the 
turn.
Finally on a 
flop, Smirnov check-called a Baldwin bet. Smirnov checked blind before the 
came off on the turn and Baldwin checked behind. Smirnov led out on the 
river which got Baldwin to fold as Smirnov took down three consecutive pots to build his already large stack.
