Tom Dwan: (X)(X) / / (X)
Matthew Ashton: (X)(X) / / (X)
Jacobo Fernandez: (X)(X) / / (X)
When we arrived at the table, the action was on seventh street with around 550,000 already in the middle between the three players. Tom Dwan had tried to bet out of turn, but the action was really on Jacobo Fernandez with his ace high. He thought for a minute and then bet out. Dwan then called and Matthew Ashton called.
Dwan showed for a seven-six low and an eight-high straight. Fernandez showed for aces full of tens and was able to beat Dwan's straight for the high half of the pot. Ashton mucked and got chopped up by Dwan and Fernandez.
Catching the action on fourth street, we found Joe Cassidy betting out 20,000 and Kyle Loman making the call before Dwan two-bet. Cassidy called as Loman folded before Cassidy called a bet on fifth street. Sixth and seventh were checked down as both player's boards read as follows.
Cassidy flashed the , but it would be Dwan's that would see him scoop the pot to sit just shy of 1 million as Cassidy was left with just over six big bets.
Michael Binger brought-in and Daniel Ospina completed to 20,000. Once the action was back on Binger, he two-bet only to have Ospina three-bet. Once Binger called, he called a bet on fourth before raising on fifth as Ospina smooth-called. Sixth street was checked through, but when Binger was faced with a bet on seventh, he angrily made the call.
Binger: (X)(X) / / (X)
Ospina: (X)(X) / / (X)
Ospina tabled his for kings-up, and when Binger flashed his , he stated, "I had everything going!"
As Ospina collected the pot, he moved into the seven-figure club as Binger slips to 980,000 in chips.
Max Pescatori brought-in and Michael Binger completed as both Daniel Ospina and Pescatori called to see fourth street. Binger bet, and once Ospina folded, Pescatori called before folding to Binger's bet on fifth.
PIcking up the action on fourth street, Kyle Loman, bet and was called on fourth, fifth and sixth. On seventh, both players checked. Lowman rolled over the for two pair, aces and fours. Dwan mucked his hand and lost the pot.
With everyone on Tom Dwan-watch, we unfortunately missed the exact details of Ram Vaswani's elimination.
Stud
Speaking to Tournament Director Robbie Thompson, he detailed to us that Michael Binger made sixes and deuces and Vaswani bricked out eventually making just an ace-high.
Vaswani heads to the rail in 12th place, and will collect $38,916 for his efforts to add to his $3.4 million in lifetime earnings, 16 WSOP cashes and one gold bracelet ($1,500 Limit Hold'em Shootout in 2007).
Tom Dwan brought in with the king and then Fabrice Soulier completed. Kyle Loman made the call and Dwan also splashed in the chips to see fourth street. On fourth street, Soulier had the best hand showing and led the betting with both Dwan and Loman calling. On fifth, Soulier bet again and both players called.
On sixth street it was Loman who bet and got called by both players. Then on seventh, everyone checked.
Loman turned over for an eighty-seven. Dwan gave his famous "look to the sky" and rolled his eyes with his mouth open while tossing his hand into the muck. Soulier also mucked and Loman won the pot.
